Occurs at a point with a 90° phase shift. Therefore, non-ferrous metals can be detected by performing phase detection in the synchronous detector 6b, which is supplied with a signal for synchronous detection indicated by e〓 S , which is approximately the same as the differential induced voltage e〓 DS . (When the induced voltage e〓 2 changes to e〓 2 ″, it can be detected for the same reason.) As mentioned above, the conventional metal detector uses the transmitter coil 2 and the receiver coils 3a and 3b to detect It was used to form a transformer and detect ferrous or non-ferrous materials, but
The receiving coils 3a and 3b need to have an opening area that can cover the detection range of the object W to be inspected.

がある。 For example, if the object to be inspected is ham containing salt, a signal similar to non-ferrous metal may be output due to its physical properties, and the degree to which it is susceptible to this physical property depends on the opening of the coil. Since it is proportional to the area occupied by the object to be inspected within the plane, the detection ability is limited, and there is a problem that the detection sensitivity is reduced.

Dfが得られる。 In this state, when the inspected object W containing iron advances in the direction of the arrow, the lines of magnetic force generated from the alternating magnetic field generator 10 concentrate on the iron mixed in the inspected object W. First, the number of lines of magnetic force extending to the Hall element 11a increases, and then the number of lines of magnetic force extending to the Hall element 11b increases. Then, since the magnetic field B 0 (t) applied to each Hall element 11a, 11b changes as shown by the dashed line and the dotted line, the output voltages V H0 and H0 have a time lag from each other. If the signal output from the operational amplifier 16B is filtered by the low-pass filter 17B, the iron detection signal will be increased or decreased.

As shown by the dotted line, the phase of the magnetic field B 0 (t) that affects the Hall element 12a changes in the first half, and then the phase of the magnetic field B 0 (t) that affects the Hall element 12b changes in the second half. Even if the frequency is changed, almost no adjustment is required, and there is no difference in detection sensitivity even if the frequency is changed.

The Hall element is configured to detect iron and non-ferrous metals contained in the non-inspection object.
This has the advantage that a detection function is added to the Hall element itself, eliminating the need for a synchronous detector. Therefore, even if the frequency of the alternating magnetic field changes, the same sensitivity characteristics can be obtained, making adjustment operations easier. Furthermore, since it becomes easy to arrange a plurality of Hall elements corresponding to a small area of the object to be inspected, the effect of the physical properties of the object to be inspected can be reduced and the detection sensitivity can be increased.
