There is a method of vacuum suction and extraction from the rear end side.

It is important to arrange the front and back sides in one direction for later bundling and other purposes.

That is, when the banknotes b... stored in the supply section a with both front and back sides mixed are taken in one by one by the take-in roller c and sent into the conveyance path d, and the banknotes b on the way to conveyance are distinguished and counted by the detector e. At the same time, judge whether it is front or back. Then, the banknotes b determined by the detector e to be transported face-up are transferred to the first stacking section g via the gate f.
In addition, the banknotes b determined by the detector e to be transported on the back side are stacked in the second stacking section i via the gate h. Note that j is a third stacking section provided at the end of the conveyance path d, which stacks rejected banknotes b that are not recognized as genuine banknotes by the detector e or are rejected due to dirt or the like.

問題がある。 According to such a conventional method, a first stacking section g for front stacking and a second stacking section i for back stacking are required, and post-processing such as taking out stacked banknotes needs to be performed at multiple locations. There are problems in that the work is complicated and the means for comparing the counts is complicated and troublesome.

The supply unit 1 stores banknotes P of the same denomination (for example, 10,000 yen banknotes) in a mixed state. A portion of the take-in roller 2 protrudes into the supply section 1, and the lowest banknote P is in contact with the take-in roller 2. As the take-in roller 2 rotates, the lowest banknotes P in the supply section 1 are placed one by one horizontally and in the side direction into the take-in conveyance path 3 serving as a conveyance means, with the front or back side up. It is starting to be taken in. A detection unit 4 is disposed in the middle of the take-in conveyance path 3, and is configured to distinguish and count the banknotes P on the way to be conveyed and to detect whether the bills P are front or back. In addition, a direct conveyance path 5 for conveying banknotes P in the same posture and a reversing conveyance path 6 for conveying banknotes P while inverting them are provided in parallel downstream of the taking-in conveyance path 3. Conveyance path 3
A sorting gate 7 is disposed at the terminal end of the paper bank for selectively sorting banknotes P to the direct conveyance path 5 or the reverse conveyance path 6 based on the detection result by the detector 4.

As shown in FIG.
It is pushed in to the base of 9a. Next, as shown in FIG. 4B, the banknote P is conveyed as the impeller 19 rotates so that its leading end gradually separates from the horizontal part 18a of the conveyor belt 18, and its leading end hits the separator 20. As a result, the rear end of the banknote P is pushed out from between the blades 19a and 19a, and at the same time, as shown in FIG.
A third conveyor belt 15 as a conveyance means
is moved toward the rising portion 15a side. Then, the banknote P is in a state along the rising portion 15a of the conveyor belt 15, which is always running downward, and is pulled out from between the blades 19a, 19a of the impeller 19, and at the same time, the banknote P is caused by friction with the rising portion 15a of the conveyor belt 15. The force causes the paper to be taken out from the rear end (lower end) and the conveyance direction is changed. At this time, the rising portion 15a of the conveyor belt 15
are nested with the tips of the blades 19a of the impeller 19, so that the banknote P is pressed against the belt surface by the blades 19a, and a sufficient frictional force is generated between the banknote P and the conveyor belt 15. Conveyor belt 1
5, the take-out and conveyance is reliably carried out.

The banknotes P taken in one by one from the supply unit 1 via the take-in roller 2 are detected by the detector 4 as they are conveyed through the take-in conveyance path 3 to determine whether the banknotes P are genuine banknotes or to be rejected. determining and counting whether
It is determined whether the conveyance is on the front side or on the back side. Then, when the bill P blocks a conveyance sensor (not shown) disposed on the take-in conveyance path 3, the sorting gate 7 is switched in a predetermined direction based on the result of the front/back discrimination by the detector 4. That is, when it is desired to stack banknotes P with the front side up in the stacking section 9, the banknotes P that have been transported on the front side are transferred to the direct conveyance path 5, and the banknotes P that have been conveyed on the back side are transferred to the reversal conveyance path 6. Sort it out. Then, the banknotes P that have been conveyed on the front side remain as they are with the front side up, and the banknotes P that has been conveyed on the back side are placed in the impeller 1 as described above based on FIG. 4 A, B, and C.
By converting the conveyance direction in a conveyance direction converting section 21 having a conveyance direction converting section 9, the conveyance direction is reversed to front conveyance, and each sheet passes through the merging conveyance section 8. Among the banknotes P... that have passed through the combined conveyance unit 8 in a state of face-up conveyance, those determined to be genuine banknotes are stored in the genuine banknote stacking unit 9, and
Those determined to be rejected banknotes are sorted into the conveyance path 10 via the sorting gate 12, and are stacked in the stacking units 9 and 11, respectively, with their surfaces facing up.

When the bill P is reversed, the trailing edge of the bill P becomes the leading edge of the next conveyance, which causes a time delay. The length of the direct conveyance path 5 is increased by that amount to prevent jamming and counting failures due to the narrowing interval. That is, as shown in FIG. 5, the time for passing through the direct conveyance path 5 (t 3 ) and the time for passing through the reverse conveyance path 6 (t 1 + t 2 ) are equal (t 3 = t 1 + t 2 ). By setting this, the conveyance interval is made to be the same as that before being sorted by the sorting gate 7.

Counting and processing to align the front and back sides can be easily carried out. Furthermore, the present invention may be applied to a device that detects front and back sides and reverses them in a device that discriminates whether it is good or bad, rather than distinguishing between denominations and authenticity.
Furthermore, it is not limited to devices that handle banknotes, but may be used in devices that handle slips and forms, for example, and in short, it can be used in any device that needs to flip the front and back sides of paper sheets being conveyed. It's okay.

At the same time as conveying, after reversing the front and back sides of the paper sheets that have the other direction, the paper sheets can be merged into the above-mentioned conveyance path with the trailing edge side as the leading edge, and the front and back sides of the paper sheets with both front and back sides can be turned in one direction. You can get it in stock. This eliminates the need to distinguish the stacking section into one for front stacking and one for back stacking as in the conventional case, and post-processing becomes extremely easy.

An impeller that flips the front and back sides of the impeller, a separator that extracts the paper sheets that have been turned inside out by the impeller from between the blades, and a paper sheet that is extracted from between the blades of the impeller by the separator. Since the present invention is equipped with a carrying-out means for carrying out paper sheets with the rear end side as the leading edge and merging them with the above-mentioned conveyance path, even paper sheets such as banknotes that are soft and creased can be reliably reversed and merged. It has the effect of being able to do this.
