[Background Art] In the case of the conventional exterior material A, the lower end surface was simply made into a flat surface, and the exterior material A shown in FIG.
It was stretched out like an armor siding. However, in such a conventional example, the rainwater flowing on the surface of the exterior material A is drained off at the back side edge of the lower end of each exterior material A as shown in FIG. There was a drawback in that it hit the overlapping part and entered the back side of the exterior material A from the overlapping part due to capillary action or the like.

The present invention will be explained in detail below with reference to Examples. A is the exterior material of the present invention, in which a breathable waterproof packing 6 is attached to the overlapping surface of the upper surface of the exterior material main body 2. The exterior material body 2 is made of asbestos slate, calcium silicate board, gypsum cement board, or the like.
A notch surface 7 is cut out at the upper end of the surface of the exterior material main body 2, a water cutout recess 8 is provided below the overlapped surface, and a nail is driven into the lower part of the surface of the exterior material main body 2. A groove 9 is provided for this purpose. The lower end of the exterior material main body 2 is provided with an inclined surface 4 that protrudes downward from the front side toward the back surface side in the width direction, and the back surface side of the lower end of the exterior material main body 2 is provided with a notch across the width direction. 3
A sharp water cut edge 7 is formed at the end of the inclined surface 4 on the side of the notch 3. The breathable waterproof packing 6 is made of, for example, nonwoven fabric, felt, or open-cell foam synthetic resin such as open-cell foam polyurethane foam. Reference numeral 10 is a locking fitting having a rectangular main body, and has an upper locking part 11 bent in a U-shape opening downward at the upper end, and a lower locking part 11 bent horizontally at the lower end. 12, and a spacer piece 13 is provided upright on the main body.

However, the exterior material A of the present invention configured as described above
is constructed as follows. The outer wall body 1 is formed by filling the space between the pillars with a heat insulating material 14 such as glass wool, and covering the outer surfaces of the pillars and the heat insulating material 14 with a breathable waterproof sheet 15 as required. Exterior material A is applied to the outer surface of this outer wall main body 1 in the form of an armor siding. In other words, the upper exterior material A is stretched so that the upper surface side of the upper exterior material A overlaps the lower back surface side of the upper exterior material A.
At this time, a locking metal fitting 10 is interposed at the overlapping portion of the lower exterior material A and the upper exterior material A, and the upper locking part 11 is locked to the upper end of the lower exterior material A, and the upper exterior material A lower locking portion 12 is locked in the notch 3 at the lower end of A. At this time, each exterior material A is fixed to the pillar by driving nails into the pillar from the groove 9 as necessary. When the construction is carried out as described above, the exterior materials A are positioned and attached to each other using the locking metal fittings 10, and a gap is formed in the overlapped portion by the spacer pieces 13, and the back side of the exterior material A is ventilated. At this time, if the breathable waterproof packing 6 is provided at the overlapping part of the exterior material A,
A breathable waterproof gasket 6 is located at the locking metal fitting 10, and the breathable waterproof gasket 6 is located at the spacer piece 13.
breathability is maintained. In addition, the breathable waterproof packing 6 has waterproofness and can maintain waterproofness. The exterior material A of the present invention is installed as described above, but since the lower end of the exterior material A has an inclined surface 4 and a water cut edge 5, rainwater flowing on the surface of each exterior material A flows diagonally downward at the inclined surface 4 at the lower end. It is guided by the water cut edge 5 and drained. At this time, the lower exterior material A at the notch 3
Since there is a large distance between the surface of the water cutting edge 5 and the water cutting edge 5, it is even more difficult for water to reach the overlapped portion, and the presence of the water cutter recess 8 makes it even more difficult for water to reach the overlapped portion. Further, since the lower locking portion 12 of the locking metal fitting 10 is locked in the notch 3, the locking metal fitting 10 is not visible from the front side. Furthermore, a water pool 16 is formed above the breathable waterproof packing 6 by the notch surface 7, and even if water intrudes from the breathable waterproof packing 6 by capillary action, no further water intrudes into the water pool 16. Note that when the exterior material A is attached, the upper end of the exterior material A touches the outer surface of the heat insulating material 14, but the exterior material A
By attaching a metal fitting that presses the heat insulating material 14 to the upper end, a ventilation space can be formed between the upper end of the exterior material A and the heat insulating material 14.

[Effect of the invention] As described above, the exterior material of the present invention has a notch extending in the width direction on the back side of the lower end of the exterior material body, and a notch is provided in the lower end of the exterior material body in the width direction from the front side to the back side. It forms an inclined surface that protrudes downward, and the notch side edge of the inclined surface has a sharp water cut edge, so when the exterior material is installed like an armor siding, rainwater that travels on the surface of the exterior material will flow onto the slope surface. The water is guided diagonally downward, and the water can be drained and dropped at the water cutting edge that is separate from the surface of the exterior material below, and the water does not flow to the overlapped part of the exterior material, and due to capillary action, etc., the back side of the exterior material There is no risk of water entering the
Moreover, even if a metal fitting is interposed to connect the upper and lower exterior members, it is not visible from the front side because there is a notch on the back side and the cut edge protrudes downward.
