[Problems to be solved by the invention] The above-mentioned conventional iron head has a thin face, which significantly reduces the flight distance of the ball.
Furthermore, as mentioned above, since a welding means is required, productivity cannot be said to be good. Therefore, in view of these conventional defects, a technical problem arises that must be solved in order to improve productivity and prevent a decrease in ball flight distance, and the present invention aims to solve this problem. The purpose is to

[Function] This invention provides the iron head 1 with a hollow part 2 having a substantially triangular cross section so as to cover substantially the entire area of the face surface 1a and the back surface 1b, and having a hollow part 2 having the same shape and the same volume as the hollow part 2. A ceramic core 3 is tightly fitted into the iron head 1, and retaining pins 4, 4, .
Since the iron head 1 and the ceramic core 3 are connected to the iron head c, the iron head 1 and the ceramic core 3 are integrated, and since the ceramic core 3 is provided over almost the entire area of the face 1a, the sweet spot becomes a wide area. , No matter where the ball hits the face surface 1a, the repulsion is good and the directionality is also improved.

[Example] Hereinafter, an example of this invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings. Reference numeral 1 designates an iron head of a golf club, and the iron head 1 is provided with a hollow portion 2 having a substantially triangular cross section so as to extend over substantially the entire face surface 1a and back surface 1b of the iron head 1. That is, the hollow part 2 is formed to have a shape substantially similar to the outer shape of the iron head 1, and a ceramic core 3 having the same shape and volume as the hollow part 2 is tightly fitted into the hollow part 2. Moreover, holding pins 4, 4, . are combined. Therefore, the iron head 1
is generally made of stainless steel. Therefore, compared to the ceramic core 3, the specific gravity is also significantly larger. That is, the specific gravity of ceramic itself is normally 4th, but if it is porous it will be lower.
Therefore, this ceramic is made of alumina, zircon,
It is made of a dense material such as silicon carbide or silicon nitride, or a porous material, and has high hardness and high strength, and has an extremely low specific gravity as described above. Therefore, the aforementioned iron head 1 itself has a relatively important material such as the aforementioned stainless steel placed around it, and therefore the moment of inertia of the iron head 1 around its center of gravity is greater than that of a normal head. As a result, even if a player misses the sweet spot and hits the ball, the direction of the ball's flight will be good. Further, since ceramic has high hardness and high strength, even if the face is thin, it can be reinforced by this ceramic, and a decrease in the flight distance of the ball can be prevented. Furthermore, if the above-mentioned porous ceramic is used, the specific gravity is even lower, and therefore the moment of inertia around the center of gravity of the head can be increased.

Next, the manufacturing process of the iron head of the present invention will be explained in detail with reference to FIGS. 4 to 8. First, in FIG. 4, 3 is a ceramic core. This ceramic core 3 is provided with holding pins 4, 4, . . . on its back surface. In FIG. 5, a wax 5 having substantially the same shape as the head is placed around the ceramic core 3.
to form. This wax 5 is molded using a wax mold, and a space is formed in a portion corresponding to the wax 5, and the ceramic core 3 is placed in the core of this space by holding pins 4, 4... Hold in mold. Since the remaining space is injected with wax 5 and molded, the wax 5 incorporates the ceramic core 3 in its core. As shown in FIG. 6, the wax 5 containing the ceramic core 3 is immersed in a slurry containing a refractory binder and refractory fine particles. is sprinkled to form a coating layer 6, which is then dried. Next, as shown in Figure 7,
When the coating layer 6 is dried in the above process, it is heated to dissolve only the wax 5 and release it. At this time, the ceramic core 3 is held by the outer coating layer 6 by the holding pins 4, 4, . . . . This is then fired to create a mold. Even during this firing, since the ceramic core 3 has extremely high heat resistance,
The ceramic core 3 will not be destroyed.
In this way, the ceramic core 3 is held in the core, and a space P having the same shape as the head is formed in the mold. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 8, if stainless steel is cast into the space P of this mold, an iron head 1 having the same shape as the space P will be formed.
is molded, and by removing the surrounding mold, the iron head 1 containing the ceramic core 3 is molded. It goes without saying that the retaining pins 4, 4, . . . that protrude from the outer surface are shaved off.

[Effects of the invention] The invention can be molded by the process described above, and the iron head of the invention made in this way is designed to increase the moment of inertia around its center of gravity and widen the sweet spot. Naturally, it improves the directionality of the ball, and furthermore, the ceramic core strengthens the face of the iron head to prevent a reduction in flight distance. This is a truly valuable idea for various practical purposes, as it enables weight distribution, and also improves productivity because conventional welding means are not required.
