Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title paint having smoothness and gross after baking and free from forming crack, stain, etc., on the surface of cloisonn'e ware by blending ketones and polyhydric alcohol derivative used as solvents with a surfactant for controlling thickening and smoothness and inorganic pigment. CONSTITUTION:The aimed paint obtained by adding 30-80% ketones having 150-200 deg.C boiling point and 10-50% polyhydric alcohol derivative having 400-6000 molecular weight which are used as solvents and 2-10% surfactant for controlling thickening and smoothness and further adding a mixture of inorganic pigment or inorganic pigment and cloisonn'e glass powder thereto and blending these components.

In addition, when these organic binders are mixed with water and pigment, the viscosity can be adjusted freely from low to high depending on the amount.
Furthermore, it blends well with the brush when painting overlays, allowing for delicate drawings.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) Most of the products using conventional organic binders leave organic carbides on the products unless the firing temperature is 1000°C or higher, resulting in dirt, stains, etc. This may cause cracks, etc.

Since the temperature never exceeds 00°C, it was not possible to prevent dirt, stains, cracks, etc. In addition, since the surface of the cloisonné board is smooth, glaze containing moisture will cause repellency, making it impossible to express delicate drawing touches.

Furthermore, when overglaze paints using the above-mentioned organic binders are used on cloisonné substrates, there are problems such as cracks, stains, stains, etc., which make them unusable.

The present invention solves these conventional problems and allows cloisonné surfaces to be drawn with the touch of a brush similar to those found in conventional watercolor paints or oil paints, and after firing, it maintains the smoothness and luster characteristic of pottery. The purpose is to provide a cloisonne blend paint that is sticky and does not cause cracks, breaks, stains, etc. on the cloisonné surface.

(Measures to solve the problem ¥11) In order to solve the above problem, the present inventors investigated organic binders, and as a result, they used ketones and polyhydric alcohol derivatives as solvents and mixed surfactants with them. The present invention was completed by discovering that the problem could be solved by mixing inorganic pigments with cloisonné pigments and kneading them.

The surface tension of water is large and causes repellency, which has a negative effect on the drawings on the substrate. Therefore, we do not use any water at all, but use a hydrophilic solvent, and also mix a surfactant so that it can be diluted with water. However, some pigments and cloisonne paints are hydrophilic and others are lipophilic, and the number of pigments that can be used with lipophilic paints is limited due to color separation and the appearance of stains after drying. In the case of hydrophilic properties, there may be problems with smoothness and gloss.

Therefore, in the present invention, we investigated a mixture of ketones, high-molecular polyhydric alcohols, and surfactants as solvents, and cloisonné paints or inorganic pigments. As a result, we found that at a firing temperature of around 750°C, stains appeared on the surface. A shiny cloisonné product with no stains or cracks was created.

If the boiling point of ketones is below 150℃, it will dry out during glazing or drawing, making it difficult to apply on the board.
If the boiling point is 00°C or higher, it will take too long to dry before firing. When the molecular weight of the polyhydric alcohol is 400 or less, it cannot be emulsified and dispersed and becomes liquid, which results in poor properties as a paint.
