Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the reception of a FAX signal without providing a FAX equipment by converting the FAX signal to a video signal through an adapter and outputting the signal to a diffused television receiver and a video tape recorder. CONSTITUTION:When an incoming call is given from the FAX equipment in a transmitting side through a telephone line, the bell of a subscriber telephone set 1 rings and a user hooks off a handset and an adapter 2 is connected. Through the adapter to convert the picture of the FAX to the video signal, when the user is at home, the user inputs the power source of a television receiver 3 and the document of the FAX is projected on a screen. When the user goes out, presence-absence in the adapter 2 is switched in advance when the user goes out. Then, a video tape recorder 4 is set to an absence recording condition. Thus, the video signal from the adapter 2 is recorded to a video tape. In the case of FAX transmission, a transmitting original is recorded to the video tape by a video camera and transmitted through the adapter 2 and the telephone line.
