光電変換部による読取位置を通過させるように給
紙を行う給紙機構と、原稿を静止状態に置くため
の原稿台と、前記光電変換部を移動させて前記原
稿台に載置された原稿を走査させる一方、前記給
紙機構により給紙される原稿を読取り可能な静止
位置へ前記光電変換部を位置付けるスキヤナ駆動
部と、原稿が前記原稿台に載置されたか前記給紙
口へセツトされたかの検出を行う検出部と、この
検出部の検出出力に基づき、前記スキヤナ駆動部
を制御して前記静止位置へ位置付けるか移動によ
る原稿走査かの一方を行わせる制御部とを備えた
