本考案は電動によつて活字を選び、その活字を
タイプバーによつてプラテン上の紙面に印字する

上げ手段は少なくとも活字突き上げ時にタイプバ
ーの真下に位置していなければならない。この活
字突き上げ手段の移動のために従来ではタイプバ
ーの駆動源を兼用しており、この活字突き上げ手
段及びタイプバーを夫々別々に設けたワイヤーや
ベルト等の連結部材を介して駆動源と連結してい
た。しかしこの従来例では、例えば電気系や機械
的な故障によつてタイプバーや活字突き上げ手段
が他の部分に衝突した場合に活字庫とタイプバー
の相関位置がずれるだけでなく、タイプバーと活
字突き上げ手段の相関位置もずれてしまつて、正
常な状態に直すのに専門の技術者でさえ多大の労
力と時間を要していた。このタイプライターが一
般の事務所等で使われている場合では、前記ずれ
の調整のために専用の技術者が来る迄は使用不可

字を活字庫1内の所定の位置に戻すようになつて
