The tuck-in device used to form the selvedge tissue on a fragment loom is required to operate in precise synchronization with the main shaft of the loom, making it difficult to use a transmission member such as a timing belt as a power transmission means. is normal. However, when a timing belt is used as a transmission member, the timing belt often breaks during operation of the loom, and in that case, the timing of beating the reed 9 and the selvedge thread of the tuck-in device 1 may be affected. There was a problem that a discrepancy occurred in the movement with the folding needle 6, resulting in damage to the folding needle 6, reed 9, etc. Under these circumstances, recently, as shown in Figures 2 and 3, the phase of the drive shaft 5' connected to the main shaft of the loom and the driven shaft 4 of the tuck-in device 1' is monitored using a sensor 8. When the timing belt 2 breaks and a phase shift occurs between the drive shaft 5' and the driven shaft 4, a configuration has been adopted in which this is detected and the loom is stopped.

However, it was not possible to completely prevent damage to the tension needle 6, reed 9, etc.

In the figure, reference numeral 4 indicates a driven shaft that transmits the rotation of a loom (not shown) to the tuck-in device 1, 5 indicates a drive shaft that is interlocked with the main shaft of the loom, 6 indicates a needle, and 7 indicates a gripper.

Therefore, to explain the operation of the illustrated embodiment of the tuck-in device, in the illustrated tuck-in device 1, a plurality of timing belts 2, 2 are disposed as conductive members, so that any one of the timing belts 2 is cut. However, since the remaining belt 2 rotates the driven shaft 4, there is no risk of phase shift between the beating operation of the loom and the operation of the selvedge thread folding needle of the tuck-in device, and the loom can be operated normally.

The timing belt 2 is stopped and the cut timing belt 2 can be replaced. In this case, the loom may be automatically stopped by turning off the main switch of the loom using the electrical signal output from the sensor 3, or the pilot lamp or It is also possible to notify the operator using a warning means such as a buzzer and to manually stop the operation. In this embodiment, a timing belt is used as the transmission member, but the transmission member is not limited to this, and the same effect can be obtained even if a chain is used, for example.

The stopping mechanism of the tuck-in device of the present invention is constructed as described above, so even if one conductive member is cut off, the remaining conductive members will ensure synchronization between the operating timing of the loom and the operation of the tuck-in device. Therefore, the selvage thread folding needle, reed, etc. will not be damaged.
