    配設してなる第１の操作パネルと、使用頻度の低
    いスイツチ類とその表示手段とを配設してなる第
    ２の操作パネルと、洗濯物の投入口を閉成する開
    閉自在の蓋とを有し、前記第２の操作パネルが、
    前記蓋の閉成時に該蓋の一部によつて覆われてな
    る洗濯機において、 前記蓋の開閉を検出する検出部と、該検出部の
    検出信号に応答して第２の操作パネルの表示手段
    の駆動を制御する制御部とを具備してなる洗濯機
    。
