Conventionally, as this type of pressure-welding joint connector, one shown in a perspective view of each component is shown in FIG. 4. That is, A is a pressure contact terminal formed in a flat plate shape or the like from a conductive material,
A plurality (two in the illustrated case) of electric wire press-contact grooves 2 having blades on the groove walls are provided on the flat plate 1 . B' is a holder for the pressure contact terminal A, which includes a fitting groove 3 into which the pressure contact terminal A is fitted, and wire partition walls 4 provided on both sides of the fitting groove 3 in a direction perpendicular to the fitting groove 3. A plurality of rows (three rows in the illustrated case) are provided in the groove 5 between the partition walls 4 so that each electric wire can be inserted in a pinched manner. Further, a wire locking wall 8 is formed at both ends of the wire partition wall 4, and the wire locking wall 8 is provided with a wire locking groove 6 and a guide portion 7 for inserting the wire into the locking groove 6 on the upper part. 4 are provided with lock protrusions 9 for temporary locking of the cover and lock protrusions 10 for permanent locking, which will be described later.

The connection of electric wires to the press-fitting joint connector having such a configuration is performed in the following manner. That is, as shown in FIG. 5, after fitting the pressure contact terminal A into the fitting groove 3 of the holder B',
The insulated wire W is held in the groove 5 between the wire partition walls 4 and the locking groove 6, and then the cover C' is placed on the top surface of the holder B' in the direction of the arrow A and pressed to lock the lock hole 1.
By sequentially locking the locking portion 15a of 5 to the temporary locking lock protrusion 9 and the permanent locking lock protrusion 10, the core wire from which the insulation coating has been peeled is connected to the wire pressure welding groove 2 of the pressure contact terminal A. The connection work of the electric wire W to the pressure contact terminal A is completed. FIG. 6 shows a perspective view after the connection is completed, and FIG. 7 shows a sectional view taken along line AA in FIG. 6.

However, in such a conventional pressure joint connector, when the cover C' is crimped to the holder B', from the viewpoint of aligning the top surface of the cover C' with the top surface of the wire locking wall 8 of the holder B', Since the height of the electric wire partition wall 4 is suppressed below the height of the electric wire locking wall 8, the electric wire W rides on the partition wall 4 due to bending of the electric wire W, etc., as shown in FIG. Sometimes. Therefore, when fitting the cover C' to the holder B' in such a state, the electric wire W will not be properly pressed against the pressure contact terminal A, and excessive force will be applied to the electric wire W, resulting in breakage of the core wire, etc. may occur. Furthermore, even if cover C' is fitted in this condition, the appearance after fitting is indistinguishable from that of normal pressure welding, making it difficult to identify and sort out connectors with poor pressure welding. There is a problem with this.

In the figure, the pressure welding joint connector of the present invention consists of a holder B for the conductive pressure contact terminal A and a cover C, and the holder B has a fitting groove 3 for the pressure contact terminal A, and wire partition walls on both sides of the fitting groove 3. 4 is provided in a direction perpendicular to the fitting groove 3, and a wire locking wall 8 is provided with a wire locking groove 6 and an insertion guide portion 7 at both ends of the wire partition wall 4. The conventional holder B' is different from the conventional holder B' in that the lock protrusions 9 for temporary locking of the cover C, the lock protrusions 10 for permanent locking, and the holding frame 11 for the wire partition wall 4 are provided on both sides 4a of the partition wall 4. , but the holder B of the present invention
In this case, a protrusion 16 is formed on the upper part of the wire partition wall 4. Although the shape of this protrusion 16 is appropriate,
It is desirable that the thickness be the same as that of the wire partition walls 4 so as not to interfere with the insertion of the wire W into the groove 5 between the wire partition walls 4 . Also, protrusion 1
The height of the wire retaining wall 6 is such that its upper surface substantially matches the height of the upper surface of the wire locking wall 8 .

The cover C has a wire pressing protrusion 13 on the inner surface of a plate 12 that covers the upper surface of the holder B, and a locking wall 14 having a locking hole 15 having a locking portion 15a hanging from both side edges. The cover C according to the present invention is similar to the conventional cover C' in that it is
In this case, a window 17 is formed in the wire partition wall of the plate body 12, into which a projection 16 projecting from the wire partition wall 4 is fitted. The shape of the window portion 17 may be such that the protrusion 16 can fit therein with a margin, and
The windows 17 formed on both sides of the lock hole 15 may partially communicate with the upper part of the lock hole 15.

The method of pressure-welding the wires to the pressure-welding joint connector of the present invention is exactly the same as that of the conventional connector described above, so the details will be omitted. When inserting into the groove 5 between the holders B, the protrusion 16 is formed on the top of the partition wall 4, so even if the wire W is slightly bent, it is prevented from riding up to the top surface of the partition wall 4. Pressure connection of the electric wire W to the pressure contact terminal A fitted in the fitting groove 3 through the cover C is smoothly achieved.

Further, in this case, the protrusion 16 fits into the window 17 of the cover C, and has the function of ensuring the fixation of the cover C to the holder B and stabilizing the pressure connection. FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of the state in which the pressure connection of the electric wire W is completed.

Furthermore, even if the electric wire W is pressed against the protrusion 16 of the holder B, the electric wire W' that has climbed onto the protrusion 16 of the holder B can be found through the window 17 as shown in FIG. It becomes possible.

Since the pressure welding joint connector of the present invention has the structure and function described in detail above, even if the wire W to be pressure welded is slightly bent, the wire is prevented from riding on the wire partition wall of the holder, and the wire can be connected smoothly. Pressure welding connection is possible. In addition, even if a faulty pressure connection should occur, it can be easily detected through the window provided in the cover, so there is an advantage that it is possible to sort out a faulty pressure contact connector without removing the cover.
