本発明は水栓におけるこま型の弁体の製造方法

従来のこま型弁体の構造を第1図および第2図
に示す。第1図に示したこま型弁体は、こま台a
のパツキン取着面にねじ軸bを突設し、該ねじ軸
の基端部にこまパツキンcを嵌合すると共にナツ
トdを該ねじ軸bに螺合し該ナツトdの締付によ
りこまパツキンcを止着してなるものであるが、
この構造は長年の使用によりナツトdが緩んでこ
まパツキンcが脱落する惧れがあつた。また第2
図に示したこま型弁体はこま台eにアリ溝状の凹
部fを形成すると共にこまパツキンgを該凹部f
とほぼ同径の円錐台形状に形成したものである
が、アリ溝状の凹部は鍛造加工では成形が不可能
でやむを得ず切削加工によらなければならないた
め加工コストがかかり、また、こまパツキンgを
凹部fに嵌合するに当たつては該こまパツキンg
の外縁部を弾性により復元可能に収縮させて凹部
fの狭い入口を通過させなければならなかつた。
このため組付に手数を要し大量生産には向かない
欠点があると同時に、水栓に装着したときその弁
座面hと相対するこまパツキンgの直効径が小さ
いために第3図に示したように開栓時にこま台の
外縁部iが通水の邪魔をし通水可能面積が小さく
なるためにそれだけ流水量が少なくなる欠点があ

先方向に向い広がるテーパ面状に形成し、円板状
のこまパツキンを前記側壁によつて囲まれた凹部
に嵌合し、次いで該こま台を挟圧して前記軸形成
面を平面状にすることにより前記側壁を内側に傾
倒させアリ溝状に形成するこま型弁体の製造方法

ともに垂直な側壁6が一体に突設されていると共
に、該こま台1の軸形成面7は角度αの傾斜を設
け軸先方向に向つて広がるテーパ面状に形成す
る。8は円板状のこまパツキンでその外径は側壁
6の内径と略々一致し、該こまパツキン8を該側
壁6によつて囲まれた凹部に嵌合する。次いで該
こま台1を下型2と上型9により上下から挟圧し
軸形成面7の前記テーパ形状を第5図に示したよ
うに平面状に塑性変形させる。これによりこま台
1の周縁部が上方へ持ち上げられる作用を受け側
壁6を内側に傾倒させ凹部をアリ溝状にならしめ
こまパツキン8を周囲から確持に挟着し保持す
る。第6図にこのようにして製造されたこま型弁
体の使用状態を示すが、この場合側壁6は内向に
傾斜しているために開栓時において充分な通水面

1を変形させこまパツキン8を抜脱不能に嵌着す
る。そしてこの場合には、こまパツキン8の外周
が保持されたとき該こまパツキン8の中心孔と中
心軸10との接触面に摩擦力が働らくためにこま
パツキン8が変形により中心部分だけがパツキン
取着面5から遊離するようなことが防止できる利
点があるほか、第1図に示した従来の螺子止式に
用いられていた孔開のこまパツキンをそのまま使
