Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a noise signal from generating in a coil even when a conductive recording medium being at an earth potential and a magnetic pole are brought into contact with each other by having a conductor providing a connecting part whose one edge is connected to a magnetic pole and the other edge is connected to a lead wire for grounding from an external part or providing part connecting to a lead wire for grounding at a part of the magnetic pole. CONSTITUTION:A title thin film magnetic head is composed of a magnetic pole 3, a coil 5, a drawing pattern 6 for a coil, a terminal 7 for a coil, a substrate 8 and an insulating film 9. At such a time, a terminal 2 for magnetic pole ground is provided adjoining to the terminal 7 for the coil and a drawing pattern 1 for magnetic pole ground is electrically connected to the magnetic pole 3. Thus, by grounding the magnetic pole, the electrification of the magnetic pole can be prevented, and even when the conductive recording medium, which is used as the magnetic pole and the earth potential is brought into contact with each other, a noise signal does not occur in the coil.

は上部磁極31と下部磁fi32とからなり、これらの
両磁極が絶縁スペーサ10を介してコイル5を挟んでい
る。また磁極3、コイル5およびコイル用引き出しパタ
ーン6は第2図の(b)に示した保護M11で覆ってあ
り、表面にはコイル用端子7だけが露出している。この
コイル用端子7に図示していないリード線を接続し、コ
イル5へ記録信号を送り、あるいはコイル5からの再生
信号を取り出している。

磁極とアース電位になっている導電性の記録媒体が接触
することによってコイルに雑音信号が生じるという問題
