トであつて、 供給リールから引出され巻取リールに巻取られ
、かつ、所定の距離離間した複数の孔を有するテ
ープと、 前記供給リールと前記巻取リール間のテープ走
行路に設けられ、走行する前記テープを介挿する
フオトカプラと、 タイマとを有し、 前記テープを走行させて前記テープの前記複数
の孔を前記フオトカプラで検出し、この検出に応
じて得た信号に基づいて前記タイマのタイマ動作
の開始及び終了を行なうことによつて、前記磁気
記録再生装置のテープ走行速度を測定することを
