Claims (1)
素濃度検出の動作とポンピング動作をそれぞれ行
うジルコニア板と、各ジルコニア板の両主面に形
成された電極と、両ジルコニア板の間に設けられ
被測定ガスの導かれる中空室と、この中空室への
被測定ガスの拡散速度を律する部位とからなる空
燃比検出器と、前記酸素濃度検出の動作を行うジ
ルコニア板の中空室側電極近傍の酸素濃度が常に
予め定めた基準値と一致するように、前記各空燃
比検出器へのポンピング電流を制御する回路と、
前記各空燃比検出器の被測定ガス中の特定ガス成
分濃度に対する感度係数をそれぞれ設定する手段
と、燃料の種類に応じて決定される水炭比を設定
する手段と、予め設定された数値の異なる複数の
空燃比および当量比のいずれか一方と前記水炭比
の設定値とから、予定の演算式に基づいて空燃比
および当量比のいずれか一方とこれに対応する酸
素濃度との関係を示す数値対応表を作成する手段
と、この数値対応表を記憶する手段と、前記ポン
ピング電流からそのときの酸素濃度を気筒別に算
出する手段と、この気筒別の酸素濃度に対応する
空燃比を前記数値対応表を用いて算出する手段と
を備えることを特徴とする多気筒エンジンの空燃
