The lenses were attached to and fixed to the rails, and therefore the sliding body was only used for one stage of sliding movement with respect to the rail, and the amount of sliding movement was small.
Furthermore, this rail was fixed to a tripod or photographing stand.

Because it is heavy and long, it is not easy to handle, and it is difficult to transport, especially when traveling for photography, and it has many drawbacks, such as lack of stability.

In other words, there is a two-stage sliding system that includes a table rail that can be slid freely relative to the photographing table, a rail that is divided into two pieces on a dovetail rail that is fitted with the rail, and a rail that is divided into two pieces that can be slid on top of the rail. A holder for supporting a photographing frame etc. and a lens board having a photographic lens are provided through the part,
The dovetail rail fitted with the platform rail and each rail divided into two can change the fixing position steplessly, and the interval between the two divided rails can be adjusted with one touch. By fixing these separately, large and small free focal lengths can be obtained.

Reference numeral 3 denotes a table rail, and a dovetail 3a that is fitted into the dovetail groove 2c of the table slider 2.
There is a dovetail groove 3b and a screw hole 3c approximately in the center.
and a through hole 3d near both ends (the cross-sectional views taken along lines - and '-' in Figure 1 are the same. Therefore, only the line '-' will be explained below.
Identical parts shown in the ``section'' are designated with numerals 8 and 11. ) is formed, and a rack 3e is attached between both through holes 3d near both ends thereof, and meshes with a pinion (not shown) connected to the knob 2a of the table slider 2 described above. 4 is a dovetail rail having a pincushion-shaped cross section, and has upper and lower dovetail strips 4a and 4b, and the lower dovetail strip 4b is fitted into the dovetail groove 3b of the table rail 3 and coincides with the through hole 3d. A screw hole 4c is formed at the position where the threaded hole 4c is located, and a stepped hole 4d is formed at the position where the threaded hole 3c of the table rail 3 coincides with the screw hole 4c in the approximately central portion. It is screwed into a screw hole 3c, and this makes elastic contact between the platform rail 3 and the dovetail rail 4 to provide stability for both. 7 and 8 are rails divided into two parts, 7
is a frame rail, and 8 is a board rail, both of which are fitted into a dovetail groove 7a that is fitted into the upper dovetail 4a of the dovetail rail 4 and a dovetail groove 9a of a frame sliding body 9 to be described later. Consists of dovetail 7b,
The board rail 8 also has the same configuration as the frame rail 7, and has a dovetail groove 8a that is fitted into the dovetail strip 4a.
and a dovetail strip 8b into which the board sliding body 10 is inserted.
and has. The structure of these frame and board sliders 9 and 10 is almost the same as that of the table slider 2 described above, and the rack 7c on the frame rail 7 is
Knobs 9b, 10 are connected to pinions 9a, 10a that mesh with racks 8c on board rail 8.
b and fixed knobs 9c and 10c. Thus, the upper surface 3f of the platform rail 3 attached to the lower dovetail strip 4b of the dovetail rail 4, the lower surface 7d of the frame rail 7 attached to the upper dovetail strip 4a, and the lower surface 8d of the board rail 8. are constructed so that they are almost in contact with each other. Furthermore, a holder frame 11 on which a focus plate, photosensitive frame, etc. can be attached and detached is mounted on the frame slider 9, and a lens board 12 on which a lens is attached is mounted on the board slider 10. A bellows 13 is provided between the frame 11 and the lens board 12. Furthermore, it penetrates both through holes 3d formed near both ends of the table rail 3 described above,
In addition, a dovetail rail 4 on the concentric circle of both through holes 3d
Fixing screws 14 and 15 are provided so as to be screwed into respective screw holes 4c formed in the.

8 apart, or close together for small magnification, and tighten the fixing screws 14 and 15. Then, since the fixing screws 14 and 15 have the same function, we will talk about one fixing screw 14. As shown in FIG. 2, when the fixing screw 14 is tightened, the dovetail rail 4 is pulled toward the platform rail 3. It will be done. Then, the upper surface 3f and the lower surface 7d are brought into close contact, and the dovetail strips 4a and the slopes of the dovetail grooves 7a are brought into close contact and fixed. In other words, by one operation of the fixing screw, the platform rail, dovetail rail, and frame rail can be fixed at the same time and in stepless positions.
