Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase resistance to twisting and tensile strength by spirally joining a pair of metal spiral tubes equal in the winding direction and the pitch and different in a diameter while reversing the direction of a sectional shape of its belt-shaped metal body for integrally connecting and fixing both ends. CONSTITUTION:First and second spiral tubes 11 and 12 forming a spiral tube 10 become belt-shaped metal bodies 8A and 8B having folded parts 13, 14 and 16, 17 respectively by bending them so that their cross sections may be S-shaped sideways. The shapes of the cross sections of the metal bodies 8A, 8B are made reversely faced for being spirally wound while the folded parts, 13, 14 and 16, 17 of the neighboring width direction end parts are made to mutually engage. A thread groove 15 is formed on the inside of the metal 8A and the connection part of the folded parts 16, 17 is projected from the outer periphery of the spiral tube 12 to form a screw thread 19 for the thread groove 15 for being screwed inside the groove 15. Further, the connection part of the folded parts 13, 14 of the spiral tube 11 is screwed into spiral groove 20 provided on the surface side of the spiral tube 12 as a screw thread 21.

In such a helical tube 5 for cord protection, when the helical tube 1 is twisted in the same direction as the winding direction (direction of arrow A), the diameter of the helical tube 1 becomes smaller, but the elastic band 3 inside the helical tube 1 The winding direction is opposite to that of the spiral tube 1 (in the direction of arrow B), and both ends of the spiral tube 1 are
Since it is fixed to the helical tube 1, its diameter becomes large, contrary to the spiral tube 1. Therefore, the helical tube 1 and the elastic band 3 are in contact with each other, and this interference provides resistance to twisting, thereby preventing deformation of the entire tube due to twisting.

On the other hand, when the helical tube 1 is twisted in the opposite direction to the winding direction, the helical tube 1 expands in diameter opposite to the above, and the elastic band 3 contracts in diameter at the adjacent widthwise ends m and b. Since they abut each other or are in close contact with the cord 4, this provides resistance to twisting and prevents deformation of the entire tube due to twisting.

However, in such a conventional cord protection spiral tube 5, when a strong force in a twisting direction is applied to the spiral tube 1, the folded portions 6 provided at the widthwise ends of the band-shaped metal body 2 and engaged with each other , 7 may come off or the band-shaped metal body in this portion may break. Also, elastic band 3
Since it is stretchable, the tensile strength of the entire tube is approximately equal to the tensile strength of the spiral tube 1, and it is easy to stretch. In other words, the tensile strength of the pipe as a whole is low. Furthermore, when the spiral tube 5 is twisted in the direction in which the elastic band 3 is narrowed, the elastic band 3 is reduced in diameter by nine degrees as described above, and the adjacent widthwise ends a and b collide with each other. If an even larger force is applied to forcibly twist the helical tube 5, the abutting state will be lost and the helices of the elastic band 3 will be facing each other, losing almost all of its resistance to twisting, or There were problems such as plastic deformation and failure to restore to the original state.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has a cross-sectional shape of horizontal S.
A first metal spiral tube formed by spirally winding a band-shaped metal body having substantially hook-shaped folded portions at each end in the υ width direction and meshing adjacent folded portions with each other. Similarly, when the cross-sectional shape has a horizontal S-shape, a band-shaped metal body having substantially hook-shaped folded portions at each end in the width direction is spirally wound in the same direction as the winding direction of the first metal spiral tube. The first metal spiral tube is provided with a band-shaped metal body having adjacent folded portions, and the second metal spiral tube has an inner diameter approximately equal to the first metal spiral tube. It is inserted into the first metal helical tube with the same outer diameter dimension and the same pitch, with the cross-sectional shape facing in the opposite direction, and both ends are attached to the ends of the first metal helical tube. They are each fixed.

In the present invention, the first and second metal helical tubes are wound in the same direction and have a core and a K-shape, a female thread and a male thread, which are screwed together, and when twisted in the winding direction, the diameter of both is reduced. The second metal helical tube provides resistance to twisting of the first metal helical tube. On the other hand, when twisted in the opposite direction to the winding direction, both diameters expand, and the first metal helical tube becomes more resistant to twisting of the second metal helical tube. The cross-sectional shapes of the first and second metal spiral tubes are opposite in direction, and the direction in which the folded portions engage is opposite, so the direction in which they disengage is also the opposite direction, and the folded portions are removed by twisting. The second metal spiral tube 12 is also a band-shaped metal body that is bent so that its cross-sectional shape has a horizontal S-shape, thereby integrally having substantially hook-shaped folded portions 16 and 17 at the ends in the υ width direction. 8B in the direction of arrow A, the first metal spiral tube 1
The pitch P is the same as the outer diameter dimension D1, which is approximately equal to the inner diameter dimension of 1.
When the folded portions 16 and 17 of adjacent widthwise end portions are wound spirally so as to have a width and are engaged with each other, a K width is formed. In this case, one of the folded parts 16 is bent in a substantially U-shape on the outside of the band-shaped metal body 8B, and the other folded part 1T is folded inward in a substantially U-shape, and both of these folded parts 1G, IT The connecting part is the second metal spiral tube 12
A screw thread 19 is formed by protruding from the outer peripheral surface of the tube and being screwed into the screw groove 15 of the first metal spiral tube 11. The widths of the thread 19 and the thread groove 15 are approximately equal. When screwing in the second metal spiral tube 12, the direction of the cross-sectional shape of the band-shaped metal body 8B is in the opposite direction K to the direction of the cross-sectional shape of the band-shaped metal body 8A, that is, inwardly in the figure. If the folded nine folded part 13 is on the right side and is bent outward and the nine folded part 14 is located on the left side, the folded outward part 16 is on the right side and the folded part 1 is bent inward.

Thus, the cord protection spiral tube 1 having such a configuration
According to No. 0, the first metal spiral tube 11 is wound in the winding direction,
That is, when twisted in the direction of arrow A, both the first and second metal spiral tubes 11 and 12 are compressed and their diameters become small. The fact that the first metal helical tube 11 is in close contact with the second metal helical tube 12 provides more resistance to twisting than that of the helical tube 10. Prevent the above deformation.

Since the second metal helical tube 12 is screwed into the first metal helical tube 11 with the screwing direction determined such that the directions of the cross-sectional shapes of 8B are opposite to each other, it is difficult to twist the helical tube 10 with strong force. There is no risk that the folded portions 13, 14, 16, and 1T will come out of engagement even if

That is, as shown in FIG.
If the directions of the cross-sectional shapes of A and 8B are the same, the direction in which the folded parts 13 and 17 come off from the folded parts 14 and 16 (arrow C direction) is the same direction, so if a strong force is applied in the twisting direction, Although the folded portions 13 and 17 are easy to come off, in the present invention, the direction of the cross-sectional shape is reversed as shown in FIG. 2 [F]. (direction) is opposite, and the mutual protective action works together to prevent it from coming off against [K]. Therefore, it can sufficiently withstand even large twisting forces, and damage to the helical tube 10 can be prevented.

Further, in the present invention, since a double pipe structure is adopted and the first and second metal spiral pipes 11 and 12 are screwed together, the mutual threaded portions (19, 21) interfere with each other. It can be used as a barrier and has a large tensile strength.

As explained above, the cord protection spiral tube according to the present invention is formed by spirally winding a band-shaped metal body, and includes first and second metal spiral tubes having the same winding direction and pitch and different diameters. These two helical tubes are screwed together with the cross-sectional shapes of the band-shaped metal bodies facing in opposite directions, and both ends are integrally connected and fixed. In addition, when it is twisted in the winding direction, the outer metal spiral tube sticks to the inner metal spiral tube and becomes a resistance to twisting. If the tube is twisted in the opposite direction, the inner metal spiral tube sticks closely to the outer metal spiral tube and provides resistance to twisting, resulting in deformation of the entire tube.

In addition, since the first and second metal spiral tubes are screwed together with the cross-sectional shape of the band-shaped metal body facing in the opposite direction, the folded portion provided at the end in the width direction can be prevented from breaking. The direction of disengagement is in the opposite direction, so it can withstand large torsions υ, and has high tensile strength, allowing the cord to be retained well.
