このコンデンサおよび前記点火コイルに対し閉回
路を形成可能に接続されている半導体開閉素子と
、前記機関に同期して電気信号を発生する信号発
生源と、前記機関の点火時期に点火信号を発生し
て前記半導体開閉素子を導通させる点火信号発生
手段とを備えた内燃機関点火装置において、前記
磁石発電機の出力の極性を利用して前記半導体開
閉素子を不動作状態にする逆転防止回路が設けら
れているとともに、この逆転防止回路は、前記点
火信号発生手段における直流電源の基準電圧発生
部に接続され、この基準電圧を検出する検出手段
と、この検出手段による検出信号と前記点火信号
発生手段による点火信号との論理計算を実行し、
その結果に基づいて前記半導体開閉素子の動作を
制御する制御手段とから構成されており、さらに
、前記点火信号発生手段は、機関の正転時におい
ては点火信号を磁石発電機の出力が非正である時
に発生するように、また、機関の逆転時において
は点火信号を磁石発電機の出力が正である時に発
生するように設定されていることを特徴とする内
燃機関点火装置。
