Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide seedling of bamboo grass and bamboos useful as a ground- covering plant at a low cost in a state to be easily planted by covering subterranean stem of bamboo grass and bamboos with a moisture-retaining material. CONSTITUTION:The objective seedling is produced by winding subterranean stems of bamboo grass and bamboos in circular form having a length of 10-40cm or a diameter of 5-15cm and covering with paper or a film of a polymer such as cellulose. The seedling is packed in an easily peelable state with a sheet of vinyl chloride resin, etc., for the long-term storage, transportation, etc., unpacked at the objective place, placed on the ground and covered with soil at a thickness of preferably about 3cm.

Weedy plants such as grass are generally known as such ground cover plants, but bamboos and bamboos have also been widely used in recent years. Sasa bamboos have a strong reproductive capacity, so they can be grown well even in poor natural environments such as cold regions, do not die in winter, are resistant to fire, and do not require pest control. In addition, since the rhizomes strongly bind the soil, they can prevent soil erosion and collapse of the surface soil much more effectively than weed plants such as grass.

However, in order to produce potted seedlings of Sasa and Bamboo, it has been necessary to grow them for about a year after planting them in pots in the spring, and also to transport the potted seedlings to the planting site. In some cases, the potted plants have to be transported, which is cumbersome and bulky, requiring extra expense and labor.Furthermore, when planting, holes must be dug one by one in the ground where the plants are to be planted, and then removed from the 94. It takes a lot of time and effort to plant them. These points are particularly problematic when planting a large number of potted seedlings over a large area.

In this case, there are no particular restrictions on the types of bamboos and bamboos used. Examples include flathead, myasus, kumasasa, myakosasa, okamesasa, and chigosasa, which can be used as appropriate depending on the environment of the area where the vegetation is grown and the desired aesthetic appearance.

The rhizome (1) is covered with a moisturizing material (2) to prevent it from withering and dying during storage and transportation. This moisturizing material (2) should be used so that the growth of bamboos and bamboos will not be inhibited even if the rhizomes (1) are planted while covered with the moisturizing material (2). It is preferable to use a tearable film or sheet. For example, natural or synthetic films or sheets made of paper or polymers such as cellulose can be used.

It can be rolled up into a circular shape as shown in the figure, and can be determined as appropriate depending on the mode of shipping, transportation, planting, etc. For example, as in the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, it is possible to create a bamboo bamboo pack (4) in which hoop bamboos for planting (3) are individually wrapped in film or sheets 1 to 1. Alternatively, as shown in Figure 3, you can use bamboo grass for planting.
It may also be a Sasa/Bamboo pack (4) in which a plurality of separated packages of Bamboo (3) are connected. In this case, it is possible to easily separate the sections by not making perforations in each section.

In this case, the planting method does not require digging holes in the ground and planting them one by one, as in the conventional method of planting seedlings. , just cover it with soil. Spread soil to a thickness of 3 cm on top of Sasa and Bamboo for planting (3) placed on the ground.
Planting can be done efficiently by spraying at a moderate amount.
