コーテイングロールと平行にかつそのコーテイン
グロールに接離自在に配設された少なくとも１つ
のドクターと、前記ドクターと前記コーテイング
ロールとの当接部の上部側に形成される液溜部に
付設され、その液溜部に塗布液を供給する少なく
とも１つの塗布液供給手段とを備えてなり、前記
液溜部に供給された塗布液を、搬送されてくる基
板に前記コーテイングロールを介して塗布するロ
ールコータにおいて、前記コーテイングロール及
びドクターを、その各長手方向を水平面に対し傾
斜させるとともに、前記塗布液供給手段を、搬送
されてくる基板の上端より上方の位置に配置した
