よび第５図はそれぞれ従来のインクジエツト記録
装置を示す概略断面図である。

Claims (1)
ンクの噴出口が設けられたタンクと、前記噴出口
の鉛直下方に対向して配設された電極と、この電
極と前記噴出口との間に電位差を生じさせる電位
差発生手段とを備え、前記タンク内のインクを重
力によつて前記噴出口から前記電極側へ膨むよう
なメニスカスに形成したことを特徴とするインク
ジエツト記録装置。 (2) 前記噴出口から下垂するインクのメニスカ
スの表面張力が重力と釣り合うように、噴出口の
径とインクの液面高さを決定することを特徴とす
る請求項(1)記載のインクジエツト記録装置。 (3) 前記タンクに、前記インクの液面高さを検
出する液面検出手段と、タンク内にインクを補充
するインク補充手段とを設け、インクの液面高さ
を常に一定に保持するよう制御することを特徴と
