構を有しないで直接用紙を供給する用紙供給路を
構成したことを特徴とする画像形成装置。 (2) タイミングローラ対に対して用紙供給機構
を有しない画像形成装置本体の、下面又は側面、
若しくは下面と側面へ同時に給紙ローラ等の用紙
供給機構を備えた給紙ユニツトをそれぞれ着脱可
能とし、本体装置の画像形成プロセスに同期して
装着された給紙ユニツトの用紙供給機構を駆動す
るようにしたことを特徴とする請求項１記載の画
像形成装置。 (3) 下面と側面に同時に給紙ユニツトを装着し
たときには、側面装着の給紙ユニツトのケース下
側部を、下面装着の給紙ユニツトの用紙供給機構
により本体装置のタイミングローラ対に供給され

給紙ユニツトを取り外したときは、別体の用紙ガ
イドを下面装着の給紙ユニツト上に取着できるよ
