One is that a metal fitting equipped with a ratchet and a metal fitting equipped with a claw piece that engages with the ratchet are pivotally supported, and a recess that allows the claw piece to engage with the ratchet and a recess that regulates the engagement. A free cam having a guide portion is pivotally supported, and when one of the metal fittings is operated in the folding direction, the claw piece engages with the recess and the ratchet, thereby preventing rotation of both metal fittings in the unfolding direction, and moving the claw piece into the recessed part. The angle of both metal fittings is adjusted by sequentially moving them to the next teeth of the ratchet within the latches, and by rotating one of the metal fittings in the folding direction beyond the above-mentioned occlusal range, the pawl piece is moved to the guide part of the free cam. The two metal fittings can be rotated in the unfolding direction, and at the end of the rotation in the unfolding direction, the claw pieces are separated from the guide part, and by rotating in the folding direction again, the claw pieces engage with the recesses of the free cam in the same way as above. The angle can be adjusted by engaging the ratchet (1976-488, 42-3313, 45

In the other method, instead of the free cam in the above-mentioned method, a free cam having substantially the same pitch as the ratchet and teeth higher than the teeth of the ratchet is swingably attached to the ratchet, and the teeth of the ratchet and the free cam are connected to each other. With the parts aligned, the claws engage and prevent the two metal fittings from rotating in the unfolding direction, and by rotating one of the metal fittings in the folding direction, the claw pieces fit into the next teeth of the ratchet and free cam. The angle can be adjusted sequentially by engaging the metal fittings, and when one metal fitting is rotated by a half-pitch in the folding direction, the pawl piece rides on the tooth of the free cam, and in this state, both metal fittings are moved only within the swing range of the free cam. It is possible to rotate freely, and by rotating one of the metal fittings beyond the above range in the direction of deployment, the claw pieces separate from the engagement state and engage in the same manner as above, and the angle can also be adjusted in the direction of deployment. (Problems to be Solved by the Invention) In the conventional general-purpose joint fittings described above, the angle adjustment range of the two connected members is limited to a maximum of 5 to 50 degrees due to its structure.
The number of stages is limited to about 6, making it impossible to make fine angle adjustments according to the user's preference or degree of fatigue. Also, the cost of parts is high because the free cam needs to be finished into a complex shape with high precision. There were some drawbacks. In addition, various types of joint fittings have been proposed in addition to those mentioned above, but all of them have an angle adjustment range of several steps and are mechanically complex.
Many of them have difficulty in operating reliably and are of little practical use.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The joint fittings of the present invention do not rely on the conventional ratchet method using general-purpose free cams, but instead use two
The angle can be finely adjusted in multiple stages by the engagement of the claw piece provided on one side of the metal fittings with the rack provided on the other side, and when adjusting the angle of both metal fittings again, the claw piece can be adjusted with a simple operation. It automatically comes into a non-contact state with the rack and automatically returns to the occlusal state, ensuring reliable operation, and reducing manufacturing costs by simplifying the structure and using general-purpose parts. I'm trying to make it possible.

Both metal fittings 1 and 2 are rotatably supported on a pivot 3 with the connecting part 1a inserted into the connecting part 2a, and two plate springs 4a are attached to the pivot 3 inside the first metal fitting 1. , 4a are fitted with their convex sides facing each other at a predetermined interval to form a clamping portion 4, and an octopus spring 5 is fitted between both disc springs 4a, 4a. Further, a claw piece 7 is pivotally attached to the first metal fitting 1 via a pivot shaft 6 at a position eccentric to the tip side from the pivot shaft 3, and the tip of the octopus spring 5 rotates the claw piece 7 downward. It is under constant oppression. Therefore, the clamping part 4
When the claw piece 7 rotates upward based on the operation described later, the slightly narrow back part 7a is moved by both disc springs 4a, 4a.
It has a function of holding the spring 5 in between with an elastic force, and the elastic force is set larger than that of the octopus spring 5. On the other hand, the second metal fitting 2 has a large number of teeth 8a that engage with the claw pieces 7 at the inner bottom of the connecting portion 2a.
8a... is fixed via a mounting screw 9, and the teeth 8a, 8a... are sequentially arranged at higher positions from the tip side of the second metal fitting to the opposite side, and each tooth 8a is attached to the tip of the second metal fitting. It is inclined toward the side, and is configured to allow the claw piece 7 to move from the higher side to the lower side of the occlusal position, but to prevent the claw piece 7 from moving to the opposite side.
In addition, the teeth 8a, 8a... of the rack 8 are arranged so that the higher side is farther away from the pivot 3 than the lower side, and when the claw piece 7 is held by the holding part 4, the first metal fitting 1 is moved in the unfolding direction. It is set so that it does not come into contact with the claw piece 7 even if it rotates. Further, the second metal fitting 2 is provided with a clamping contact part 10a extending the lowest point of the rack 8 so that the claw piece 7 comes into contact with the clamping part 4 and press-fits it into the clamping part 4. The wall edge portion constitutes a detachment abutting portion 10b that abuts the claw piece 7 in the clamping state and releases it from the clamping portion 4.

In the joint metal fittings having the above structure, when adjusting the angle of the backrest of a chair or the like, that is, the first metal fitting 1, the first metal fitting 1 is rotated in the folding direction from the laid down state as shown by the two-dot chain line in Fig. 2. When this is done, the claw pieces move from the upper side of the rack 8 to the lower side while engaging with each other, so when this rotation is stopped at a desired angle, the rotation of the first metal fitting 1 in the deployment direction is blocked at that position. At the same time, it is also possible to change the angle further toward the folding direction from this position.

Therefore, when adjusting the angle of the first metal fitting 1 toward the deployment direction side from the already set angle, first adjust the angle of the first metal fitting 1.
is rotated in the folding direction beyond the occlusion limit between the claw piece 7 and the rack 8. By this operation, the claw piece 7 comes into contact with the clamping contact part 10 and is press-fitted into the clamping part 4 as shown in FIG. It can be rotated. Therefore, when the first metal fitting 1 is rotated in the unfolding direction and laid down again as shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. Since it can be removed, the first metal fitting 1 can be rotated in the folding direction in the same manner as described above, and a new desired angle can be selected in this process.

a, 4a, but other structures can be adopted as appropriate. Further, in the above-described embodiment, when the claw piece 7 in the clamped state is brought into contact with the detachment abutting portion 10b and released and returned, the return operation is speeded up by the elasticity of the octopus spring 5. It may be omitted and the structure may be such that the return operation is performed only by the weight of the claw piece 7. Furthermore, the rack 8 may be provided by machining the second metal fitting 2 itself, instead of being provided by fixing a separate member as in the embodiment, and the arrangement of the teeth 8a, 8a, . There is no problem even if it is curved.

(Effects of the Invention) The joint fitting according to the present invention adjusts the angle of two pivotally supported fittings by the engagement of a claw piece pivotally attached to one fitting and a rack provided on the other fitting. By providing a large number of teeth on the rack, fine multi-step angle adjustment is possible according to the number of teeth. In addition, the operation can be carried out simply by rotating one metal fitting in the folding direction and stopping the rotation at a desired position. Moreover, when adjusting the angle again, add the simple operation of rotating one metal fitting to the folding direction limit and then rotating it to the unfolding direction limit, and then rotate it in the folding direction in the same way as above. In order to enable the operation, the claw piece automatically enters the non-occlusable state with respect to the rack, and then reliably returns to the occlusable state, and there is no risk of malfunction.

Furthermore, the joint fitting of the present invention has an extremely simple structure, does not require complicated parts machining such as forming a ratchet on the fitting itself, and does not require a dedicated free cam of a special shape as in the conventional case. Furthermore, since existing parts such as disc springs can be used for the clamping portion, manufacturing costs can be significantly reduced.
