The instrument body is housed in an instrument case, a plate-like member such as a dial is provided on the upper part of the instrument body, a fixing groove is formed as appropriate on the peripheral edge of the plate-like member, and at least one of the upper and lower sides of the fixing groove is provided with a plate-like member such as a dial plate. In a vibration isolating device for an instrument, in which a buffer member having a large diameter buffer step and made of a flexible material is fitted, the buffer step is brought into contact with the instrument case to suppress vibrations of the plate member. A vibration isolating device for a meter, characterized in that a locking portion for preventing the buffer member from coming off, to which the buffer step portion can lock, is provided protruding near an open end of the fixing groove on at least one surface.
