弁本体のシリンダ室に摺動自在に設けられてシリ
ンダ室を燃料加圧手段に接続された流入室と燃料
噴射ノズルに接続された流出室とに区画し、かつ
内部に前記流入室と流出室とを連通させる連通孔
が形成されたピストンと、このピストンを前記流
入室側から流出室側へ向かつて付勢し、その付勢
力によつて前記ピストンを停止位置に位置させる
弾性部材と、前記流入室内の圧力が流出室内の圧
力よりも高圧の場合には前記連通孔を開き、流入
室内の圧力が流出室内の圧力よりも低圧の場合に
は前記連通孔を閉じる弁体とを備え、前記弁本体
に、一端が燃料タンク等の低圧側に接続され、他
端が前記シリンダ室の内周面に開口し、かつその
開口部が、前記ピストンが前記停止位置に位置す
る際にはそのピストンの摺動面によつて閉じられ
、前記ピストンが前記弁ばねの付勢力に抗して移
動した際には前記流出室に連通せしめられるリー
ク通路が設けられ、前記弁本体と前記ピストンと
の少なくともいずれか一方に、前記ピストンの前
記弁ばねに抗しての移動により、前記リーク通路
が前記流出室と連通する以前に前記リーク通路と
前記流出室とを連通させ、かつ流路面積が前記リ
ーク通路と前記流出室との連通面積よりも小さく
設定されたスピル通路が形成されたことを特徴と
する燃料噴射装置用スピル弁。
