Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a deodorant having sufficient safety to a human body simultaneously satisfying preservability, deodorizing effect, safety and storage stability by containing the extract of the above-ground part, underground part or seed of at least one kind of a plant selected from a lotus, a butterbur and relative plants thereof. CONSTITUTION:As a starting substance, at least either one of the above-ground part, underground part or seed of a plant selected from a lotus, relative plants thereof, a butterbur and relative plants thereof is used. For example, 1000ml of an extractant is added to 100g of the dried powder of the stalk of a butterbur and the resulting mixture is refluxed on a water bath at 100 deg.C for 1hr using a cooling pipe. Subsequently, the residue is filtered off and the new extractant is added thereto to perform reflux in the same way. Further, the residue is filtered off and reflux is repeated to perform extraction three times in total. The filtrates are combined to be conc. at 40 deg.C under vacuum and a pasty or dry powdery deodorizing effective component is obtained.

However, sodium copper chlorophyllin usually only becomes effective when used in large amounts, so it cannot be said that the safety to the human body when used in large amounts is sufficient, whereas the tea confection extract is not sufficiently safe to the human body. However, there are problems with storage stability, and the deodorizing effect tends to decrease due to thermal deterioration and photodeterioration, so none of them are preferable as a deodorant that satisfies deodorizing effect, safety, and storage stability at the same time. There wasn't.
