の汚損を防止できるようなオフセツト防止液の供
給手段を提供することを目的とする。

パツドにより、液をロールに塗布するものなどが
ある。電子複写機等の使用休止時においては、オ
フセツト防止液の供給は必要がないのであるが、
前記した従来の装置では、複写機等の運転時、休
止時の如何を問わず、液の貯槽を取り外さない限
り、ロール面への液の供給が継続され、従つて、
液の消費が多いだけでなく、特に塗布用パツドに
液を流下させるものではロール面や、ロールの関
連機構まで液にぬれ、用紙の粉塵などとともに装
置の汚損のもとになる弊害がある。また、ロール
面には不使用時に供給されて過飽和となつたオフ
セツト防止液のために、運転開始後の時期におい
ては用紙が汚れる欠点がある。

間隔をおいて複数の開閉弁が設けられている。第
3図および第4図にはこの開閉弁の一例が示され
ているが、図示するように、貯槽1の底壁11に
穿つた直径0.4〜0.9mmの弁孔2に直径0.1〜0.3mm
弁棒3を挿通し、弁棒3の一端を弁体4に固定
し、貯槽1の槽壁に一端を固定した弁バネ5に弁
体4を弾支させるとともに、加熱ロールAaに当
接するオフセツト防止液塗布用のパツドBに弁棒
5の末端を係合させたものであつて、図示で省略
した機械的または電磁的駆動装置により貯槽1を
上下駆動することによつて前記した開閉弁を動作
させるようにしてある。

熱ロールAaに対応しているが、オフセツト防止
液の供給は定着用ロールAのうち、加熱ロール
Aa、加圧ロールAbのいずれに対して供給しても
よいので、貯槽1を加圧ロールAbに対応させて
設けてもよい。オフセツト防止液を充填した貯槽
1はカートリツジとして供給し、液の消耗にとも
ない交換できるようにしてもよく、また、図示外
の大容量のサブタンクに導管で連絡し、液の消費
分が自動的に補給されるように設計することも可

たこの考案によれば、オフセツト防止液の粘度を
500〜10000c.s.の範囲に限定すると同時に弁孔の
直径を0.4〜0.9mm、弁棒の直径を0.1〜0.3mmに設
定してあるので、複写機等の使用者は入手に便宜
なオフセツト防止液を使用することができるとと
もに、パツドに適正量の液が保持され、従つてロ
ール面とパツドの界面に液が蓄積して用紙を汚す
おそれもなく、また、過大な表面張力のため弁孔
からの液の流出が妨げられる障害も生じない。従
つて、液の消費に無駄がなく、従来の複写機等の
使用休止時にしばしば発生する液の自然垂下が完
全に防止される。かくしてこの考案によれば、ロ
ール面における液の過飽和による弊害や、ロール
周辺の汚損が避けられるとともに、液の無益な消
耗も防止される。また、この考案によれば、末端
が塗布用パツドに係合している弁棒が弁孔に挿通
されているため、弁孔を通じてパツドに流下する
液は、液の界面張力に基づくぬれ現象により、弁
棒を伝わつて流下し、従つて、パツド以外の箇所
が液でぬれることなく、複写機構を清浄に保つこ
とができる。また、液の粘度に関係ある供給量は
弁孔および弁棒の断面積の差により適正に設計す
るのが容易であるほか、前記したように液の無益
な流失、消費がないので、貯槽への液の充填量が
少量ですみ、貯槽は小型のものでよいので、カー
トリツジ式に設計することにより、複写機の小
型、低価額化に寄与することができる等、幾多の
利便を提供することができる。
