Claims (1)
に当接するように重積して製作した軸方向に多数
の網目状通気孔路を有するハニカムコア体を、両
端が開口した金属ケース内に配置し、固着してな
る排気ガス浄化装置において、前記金属ケースが
ハニカムコア体の熱膨張に基づく変形に対して追
従し得るように軸方向に伸縮性の外壁部を有する
ものであることを特徴とする排気ガス浄化装置。 2 金属ケースが、断面形状が頂部及び底部の少
なくとも一方に湾曲部を持つ波形の形状の伸縮性
外壁部を有するものである請求項1に記載の排気
ガス浄化装置。 3 金属ケースが、断面形状が略台形状のものを
連接した形状の伸縮性外壁部を有するものである
