ラム組立体に対して、そのロータ及びステータか
らなるモータによつてドラム組立体を回転駆動さ
せる回転ドラム駆動装置において、 前記ドラム組立体に取付けされ、そのドラム組
立体の慣性モーメント力を変更する慣性モーメン
ト可変機構と、 前記ヘツドによつて読取られた信号からその信
号の時間軸変動を検出する検出手段と、 この検出手段によつて検出された時間軸変動と
予め記憶・設定された設定値とを比較・演算する
演算手段と、 この演算手段によつて演算した時間軸変動と設
定値との差が一定値をこえている場合その差に応
じた制御信号を前記慣性モーメント可変機構に出
力する制御手段と を備え、ドラム組立体が捩り共振をおこすと、
慣性モーメント可変機構が作動してそのドラム組
立体の慣性モーメント力を変更・調節し、時間軸
変動を抑えるように構成したことを特徴とする回
