Claims

[Scope of Claim for Utility Model Registration] A lid opening mechanism for opening a lid that is openable and closable at the tip of the magnetic tape cassette in the mounting direction when the magnetic tape cassette is loaded into the tape mechanism using the front loading method. a lid rotatably supported within a predetermined angular range so that its upper end contacts the lower end of the lid when the magnetic tape capsule is mounted on the cassette holder of the tape mechanism and pushed down; an opening member; and a spring member for biasing the lid opening member to a normal position, and when the magnetic tape cassette is attached to the cassette holder and pushed down, the lower end of the lid comes into contact with the upper end of the lid opening member. When the lid opening member rotates against the elasticity of the spring member to push up the lid and the magnetic tape cassette is not mounted on the tape mechanism,
The lid opening member is returned to a steady state by the spring member, and further, the contact portion between the upper end of the lid opening member and the lower end of the lid is lower than the perpendicular line including the center of rotation of the lid opening member. The lid opening mechanism is located on the rotational side of the lid.
