Conventionally, as a method for fastening and joining frames, as shown in Figure 10, both frames A and B to be joined have hollow portions a and b running longitudinally, and a 45-degree angle between the frames A and B is provided. By butting the cut ends together, inserting a key-shaped joint block C into the hollow parts a and b of both frames, and then caulking a part of the side wall of each hollow part a and b, c and d. A method of fixing the joint block C is generally used. However, when a shoji assembled by this conventional method is used as a sash with a built-in blind and a blind head box is attached to the underside of the upper stile, the blind box is not only exposed but also polymerized when the blind slat is rolled up. The problem was that the slats hung down below the upper stile, spoiling the appearance. In order to improve this problem, attempts have been made to add an auxiliary stile to the lower surface of the glass inlet of the upper stile and to fit the upper end of the glass into the auxiliary stile to shield the winding slats, but this method also does not work. Due to the limitations, other effective measures have been desired.

The purpose of this project is to provide a sash shoji with a built-in blind that can meet the conventional demands. The feature is that the hollow part in the upper stile into which the conventional joint block was inserted has been changed to a groove that opens downward. However, the groove can be used for engaging a joint block and accommodating a blind head box.

To fasten and connect the upper stile 9 and the vertical stile 11, 12 as described above, a joint block 22 as shown in Fig. 7 is used, and the joint block is press-fitted into the above-mentioned engaging grooves Y, Y'. A pair of fitting parts 23, 23' with a cross-sectional shape that can be connected at right angles, and cutouts 24, 24' are provided on the outer surfaces of both fitting parts 23, 23'. As shown in FIG. 6, press fit the sections 23 and 23' into the engagement grooves Y and Y' from the 45-degree cut end surfaces of the upper stile 9 and the vertical stile 12, and abut the 45-degree cut end surfaces of both frames. In this state, parts of the base walls 14, 18 are caulked into the notches 24, 24' of the fitting parts 23, 23',
The joint block 22 is fixed to the frames 9 and 12 by the caulking portions 25 and 26 so as to prevent it from coming off.

The blinds are installed as follows. As shown in the second figure, a substantially rectangular blind head box 28 is inserted into the housing groove X of the upper stile 9 and fixed to the lower surface of the base wall 14 with screws 29. The operating shaft 31 protruding toward the indoor side from the provided gearbox 30 is connected to the ninth
As shown in the figure, it penetrates the hanging walls 15 and 17 and projects into a box-shaped cover 32 attached to the end of the indoor side surface of the hanging wall 17, and a pulley 33 is fixed to the projecting end as shown in the eighth and ninth figures. A blind operation cord 34 hung on the pulley 33 is suspended from a hole 36 on the lower surface of the cover 32 through a roller 35 to the outside of the cover. 37... are suspended by a string hanging from the head box 28 by a well-known means using a plurality of blind slats so as to be able to rise and fall freely.

In this example, on the outdoor side of the rotating shoji 6, upper and lower frames 38, 39 and left and right vertical frames 44 are installed as shown in the second figure.
(The left vertical stile is not shown) An outer shoji 41 of approximately the same frame width as the rotating shoji 6, which is made by fitting a glass 40 into a stile frame, is attached to the lower stile 39 and the lower stile 5 of the rotating shoji 6.
An auxiliary stile 43 is added to the lower surface of the upper stile 38 of this outer shoji 41, which protrudes at approximately the same downward position as the auxiliary stile 27 of the rotating shoji 6. The auxiliary frame 43 shields the hoisting slat group from view from outside the room.

The sash shoji with a built-in blind of this invention has a blind head box housing groove and a joint block engagement groove that overlaps with the housing groove in its upper stile, so the joint block can be inserted into the joint block engagement groove. It is firmly connected to the vertical stile by fastening and connecting, and when used in a sash with a built-in blind, the blind head box is installed in the blind head box housing groove to prevent the head box and the rolled up slat group from being exposed. This makes it possible to accommodate the container and contributes to improving the appearance.
