底板上の記録紙上面に接して記録紙を取り出すピ
ツクアツプコロと、該ブラケツトに取着された遮
蔽板と、カセツト装着部側に設けられ該遮蔽板が
遮蔽位置にまで上昇したときに作動するセンサと
、該センサからの遮蔽検知信号に基づいて該上昇
アームの上昇を停止させる制御部とを備えた画像
形成装置において、 該センサはカセツト装着部によつて上下動可能
に支持されたセンサホルダによつて支持されると
ともに該センサホルダは位置決め穴を有し、前記
給紙カセツトにはカセツト装着時に該位置決め穴
内に差込み状態となる位置決めピンが設けられ、
該位置決めピンが位置決め穴内に差込まれた状態
においては給紙カセツトの先端フエンス上端部と
該センサとの間の距離が常に一定に保持されるこ
