Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce processes for assembly and increase the volume of an arc-extinguishing plate by holding multiple arc-extinguishing plates with a holding plate unified with a partition. CONSTITUTION:An arc-extinguishing device which consists of multiple arc- extinguishing plates of both sides of a partition 14A is formed with holding plates 17A unified with the partition 14A and arc-extinguishing plates 16A held by that holding plates 1A to unify the partition 14A and two arc- extinguishing devices. Since the partition and two arc-extinguishing devices are thereby unified, when the arc-extinguishing devices are assembled to a cage member, one process per one phase is reduced. Furthermore, since the holding plates of the arc-extinguishing plates and the partition are unified, a space in the extinguishing space can effectively be used to increase the volume of the arc-extinguishing plate.

For mutual use, three of the structures shown in Figure 7 are housed side by side in one housing. Arc extinguishing space (12) shown in Figure 7. In (13),
An arc extinguishing device consisting of multiple arc extinguishing plates is required to ensure interrupting performance. An example of an arc extinguishing device comprising a plurality of arc extinguishing plates is disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Application No. 15750/1983. This arc extinguishing device is shown in FIGS. 8 and 9. In Figures 8 and 9, (16) is an arc-extinguishing plate, (16a) and (16b) are protrusions for caulking the arc-extinguishing plate (16), and (l7) is a holder that holds the arc-extinguishing plate (16). It is a board. 10 and 11 show the arc extinguishing space (12) of the opening/closing part of FIG. 7. (13) shows the arc extinguishing device shown in FIGS. 8 and 9 installed. Next, the operation will be explained. Usually, the current flows through the first fixed contact (1), the first movable contact (4), the connecting part (6),
It flows in the order of the second movable contact (5) and the second fixed contact (9). From this closed state, the mechanism (not shown)
The first and second movable contacts (4). When (5) rotates clockwise around the rotation axis (10), both contacts (2) and (3) and (7) and (8) open,
An arc occurs between each contact point. These two arcs are separated by a partition wall (l4), so they are electrically in series, and the length of the arc column is twice that of a single arc. It can be increased twice as fast. Further, the arc between the contacts is attracted to the arc extinguishing plate (16), cooled, and extinguished. As a result, the current can be quickly suppressed, the interruption time can be shortened, and damage to the circuit breaker can be reduced.

Since the conventional two-point circuit breaker is constructed as described above, 92 arc extinguishing devices are required per unit, and a total of 6 arc extinguishing devices are required for a three-phase circuit breaker. Therefore, it takes twice as much time and effort to incorporate the arc extinguisher into the casing as compared to a single-break circuit breaker. In addition, since two arc extinguishing devices must be installed in one phase space, the volume of the arc extinguishing plate (l6) cannot be increased, and the arc extinguishing plate (l6) is seriously damaged when the circuit is shut off, thus extending the life of the circuit breaker. The problem was that it was small. This invention was made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide a circuit breaker with a long life by halving the effort required to assemble an arc extinguishing device, and increasing the volume of the arc extinguishing plate. shall be. [Means for Solving the Problems] A circuit breaker according to the present invention includes an arc extinguishing device consisting of a plurality of arc extinguishing plates on both sides of a partition wall, and a retaining plate that is integral with the partition wall and is held by the retaining plate. By composing with an arc-extinguishing plate,
It integrates a partition wall and two arc extinguishers.

In this invention, since the partition wall and the two arc extinguishing devices are integrated, it only takes one effort to incorporate the arc extinguishing device into the housing. Furthermore, since the retaining plate of the arc extinguishing plate is integrated with the partition wall, the space of the arc extinguishing space can be used more effectively and the volume of the arc extinguishing plate can be increased, compared to a case where the partition wall and the arc extinguishing device are separate. [Example] An example of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. 1 and 2 show an arc extinguishing device for a two-point circuit breaker according to the present invention. In the figure, (1
4A) is a partition wall, and (1 7A) is a holding plate that holds an arc extinguishing plate (16A).
A) is integrally shaded on both sides. Bulkhead (1 4A
) and the holding plate (17A) are each provided with a groove (19) on their opposing inner surfaces. Arc-extinguishing plate (1 6A
) are held by the ends (16c) being press-fitted into these grooves (19). FIG. 3 shows a state in which the arc extinguisher shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is assembled into a housing (1l).Next, the operation will be explained. According to the present invention, the first and second arc extinguishing devices are integrated with the partition wall (14A) on both sides of the partition wall (14A). The work that used to have to be assembled into the housing (11) can now be done in one go. That is, the partition wall (1
4A) and the arc extinguishing device into the housing (11) can now be reduced to one-third. Next, by integrating the partition wall (14A) and the holding plate (17A), a part of the partition wall (14A) can be used for holding the arc-extinguishing plate (16A). The space required can be reduced. As a result, arc extinguishing plate (16
The width of A) is the arc extinguishing space (12). (13) can be made almost equal to the width of arc extinguishing plate (16A), and the volume of arc extinguishing plate (16A) can be increased. This reduces damage to the arc extinguishing plate (16A) due to arcing when a large current is interrupted. In particular, in the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, the arc-extinguishing plate (16A) is fixed to the holding plate (17A) by press-fitting it into the groove (19), so the space for the caulking protrusion is maintained. Since there is no need to secure it on the outside of the plate (17A), the width of the arc-extinguishing plate (16A) can be further increased. In the above embodiment, the arc-extinguishing plate (16A) is held by the partition wall (14A) and the holding plate (17A) that is substantially parallel to the partition wall (14A), but as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the holding plate is attached to the partition wall ( 14A). Fourth
In the figure and FIG. 5, (1 7B). (1 7C)
is a retaining plate with a groove (19) and is provided perpendicularly to the partition wall (14A). (17C) has an arc extinguishing plate (1
An opening (20) is provided so as not to impede suction to 6A). With such a configuration, the width of the arc extinguishing plate (16A) can be adjusted to the arc extinguishing space (12). Since it can be expanded to the full width of (13), damage during arc interruption can be further reduced. [Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the present invention, two arc extinguishing devices are configured so that a plurality of arc extinguishing plates are held by a retaining plate integrated with a partition wall, so that the casing of the arc extinguishing device This has the effect that a two-point circuit breaker with good electrical durability can be obtained because the effort required for assembling the circuit breaker can be reduced and the volume of the arc-extinguishing plate can be increased.
