Claims

[Scope of Claim for Utility Model Registration] (1) Equipped with an image reading unit that reads a document image using an image sensor, and a printing unit that prints on paper supplied from a paper insertion slot using a print head and ejects the paper from a paper output port. 1. An electronic device, characterized in that a single platen roller is provided which is shared by both an image sensor of the image reading section and a print head of the printing section. (2) The electronic device according to claim 1, wherein the image reading section is detachably provided in the main body of the electronic device. (3) A printing unit is constructed by housing the platen roller and the printing unit in a case with the platen roller exposed, and the image reading unit is removably attached to the printing unit. (4) The electronic device according to claim 3, wherein the printing unit and the image reading section are removably housed in a main body frame of the electronic device. (5) The electronic device according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that a running roller is provided at the bottom of the image reading section. (6) A document insertion port and a document discharge port are provided on the front and rear sides near the top surface of the case of the printing unit, respectively, which communicate with the opposing portion of the platen roller of the printing unit and the image sensor of the image reading section.
