In recent steelmaking methods, before refining hot metal from a blast furnace in a converter, a refining agent such as a powdered desulfurizing agent is injected into the mixer car or hot metal pot through a pipe along with a conveying gas for preliminary treatment. .

By the way, the pipe has a total length of 3 to 6 meters and a diameter of 200 meters.
It is approximately 400mm in size and consists of an iron pipe covered with an amorphous refractory material, and the refining agent is injected from the discharge port at the bottom end, but the refining agent accumulates at the bent connection from the iron pipe to the discharge port and causes blockages. It had some problems. Therefore, the present invention aims to improve the pipe flow path in order to solve the above-mentioned problems.

Figure 1 shows the lower end part of a conventional example, which is immersed in molten metal. 1 is a hollow metal pipe through which gas or powder passes, and 2 is a metal discharge pipe through which gas or powder is ejected. . Reference numeral 3 is for forming a self-lining flow path by depositing powder in the pocket portion as will be described later. 4 is a dendritic stud welded to a hollow metal pipe to form a monolithic refractory 5
support. 6 is a discharge port formed in a convex shape.

Figures 1a to 2 show the connection shape of the hollow metal pipe and the discharge pipe, and Figure 1a shows the angular communication state (shape) from the hollow metal pipe 1 to the discharge pipe 2.
FIG. 1b shows a conventional example in which the powder 7 accumulates in the pocket part in the powder flow state as shown by the arrow, and the flow path becomes somewhat clogged in the process of forming self-lining of the flow path. This is an example in which the relationship between the discharge pipe 2 and the discharge pipe 2 is formed in a streamlined shape to prevent blockage, but when the powder collision part 7 wears out and reaches the monolithic refractory, the powder 7 adheres to the refractory. Another conventional example is shown in which deposits tend to accumulate and tend to become clogged.

FIG. 2 shows an example of the present invention, in which the inlet from the hollow metal pipe 1 to the discharge pipe 2 is connected in a streamlined manner, so that even if powder 7 accumulates in the pocket 3, it will still flow. The passage is sufficiently secured and no blockage occurs, and this, combined with the self-lining effect of the pocket, allows for smooth blowing and at the same time significantly contributes to extending the life of the pipe.
