    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. プラテンの前面に対向位置して、印字用紙の幅
    方向に往復移動するキヤリツジを装着すると共に
    、このキヤリツジにサーマルヘツドを搭載し、か
    つ上記キヤリツジにインクリボンカセツトを着脱
    自在に装着するカセツト載置部を設けた、熱転写
    及び感熱兼用のものにおいて、上記キヤリツジへ
    の、インクリボンカセツト装着時にはそのインク
    リボンの裏面、非装着時にはプラテンに対向位置
    して反射濃度検出器を装着すると共に、この反射
    濃度検出器の出力を所定の濃度と比較する濃度判
    定手段を備え、この濃度判定手段にて上記インク
    リボンカセツト及び印字用紙の装着を検出する事
    を特徴とする熱転写プリンタ。
