Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to equalize the qualities of Lepidium sativum L and stably cultivate the Lepidium sativum L in a high density in a constant space by sowing seeds on a medium comprising a foamed plastic, germinating the seeds, raising and subsequently harvesting the raised Lepidium Sativum L as bud vegetables. CONSTITUTION:A continuous medium 3 is spread in a sowing tray 2 and seeds 4 are sowed on the medium 3. Water or a nutritive solution is preliminarily absorbed in the medium 3, and the desired seeds and water in a volume of 2-5 times the volume of the seeds the charged to a container and stirred in a suspension state wherein the seeds are homogeneously dispersed in the slim- like solution. The suspension is coated on the surface of the medium 3 with a spatula or roller. The seeds are highly densely and uniformly sowed on the surface of the medium in the dispersed and adhered state without overlapping. After sowing, the tray carrying the medium 3 is transferred into a darkened germination chamber and allowed to stand for approximately 2 days until the cotyledons of the seeds generate and open or substantially open. The medium is subsequently divided into small media and transferred into package boxes for shipment.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The conventional wood coarse bulb or rock wool used in the above conventional method is harder than the roots of cress, and the roots of cress penetrate into the parts. I can't. Therefore,
If the cress is left to grow after germination, the cress will fall off the medium during harvesting and cooking, making handling inconvenient. Furthermore, quality problems arise due to shedding of the cress. In order to solve such problems, conventionally, after germination and rooting, pressure is applied in the cress process to force the roots to penetrate the medium.

Conventional methods that use natural light (sunlight) in the greening growth process require cultivation shelves to be installed in a flat manner to obtain sunlight. For this reason, the space in the cultivation room cannot be used three-dimensionally,
It was economically disadvantageous. Furthermore, since the light intensity of natural light varies depending on the weather and season, it has been necessary to adjust the light intensity by supplementing with an artificial light source such as a high-pressure sodium lamp.

In order to achieve uniform sowing, in the present invention, before the cress seeds germinate, they absorb water and the components on the seed surface are eluted.
The following sowing method takes advantage of the property of being covered with a slimy liquid. That is, add an appropriate amount of water to the cress seeds in a container, and make sure that the seeds are uniformly dispersed and suspended in the slime that has become sticky due to the components that have leached into the water from the seed surface. The seeds are sown on the medium by stirring and applying the suspension to the surface of the medium containing a nutrient solution necessary for the growth of cress so that the seeds are uniformly dispersed and adhered. In addition, in the preparation method of adding seeds to a container containing water, the seeds float to the top, making it difficult to obtain the desired slime-like suspension.

This consists of a continuum of small culture media 6 with a side of 4 to 110 cm, which is the size of one shipping packaging box shown in Fig. The through cuts are provided in a lattice pattern so as to be able to divide the plate into 6 pieces, but are provided intermittently, leaving about 2 mm near the intersection of the lattice and 1 ms at the edge of the plate-like body. If the small medium 6 in Fig. 2 is similarly provided with intermittently through cuts shown by lines 1, the small medium 6 can be cut into 4 pieces by hand along the cuts while the cress is held in the small medium 6 during cooking. It can be divided into small pieces 7 as shown in Fig. 3. In this case, the cut preferably leaves a distance of 3 mm from each edge of the small medium 6. This allows you to hold the medium side with your hand and cut only the leaf tips or the stems (including the stems).
Can be cooked. FIG. 2' shows an example of another cut 9 of the small medium 6.

FIG. 4 shows a state in which the continuous medium 3 shown in FIG. 1 is spread over the seeding tray 2 and seeds 4 are sown on the top surface of the medium 3. The medium 3 is made to absorb water or a nutrient solution in advance. Then, the seeding density is 3 to 5 g/100
Place the required seeds in a container so that the thickness is 0cm, add 2 to 5 times the amount of water to the seed volume, and stir. The seeds will be uniformly dispersed in the slime-like liquid in about 5 to 20 minutes. This suspension is applied to the surface of the medium 3 using a spatula or roller. This sowing method, which utilizes the viscosity of the suspension, produces seeds with high density and They are dispersed and seeded adhering to the surface of the medium without evenly overlapping.

As mentioned above, seeds that have been applied and sown with adhesion may exhibit a phenomenon in which a portion of the seeds lifts up during germination and rooting. In this case, in order to eliminate uneven growth, the seeds are pressed against the medium once or several times using a trowel, spatula, roller, etc. whose surface is coated with Teflon so that roots will grow toward the medium. Note that Teflon coating has the advantage that seeds covered with mucus do not adhere to these surfaces.

[Claims] 1. A method for cultivating cress, which involves sowing the seeds on a medium made of foamed plastic, allowing them to germinate, grow, and harvesting them as sprouts. 2. The medium is a plate-shaped body whose thickness is thinner than the length of the roots of grown cultivated cress, and this plate-shaped body has a plate-like structure that penetrates from one surface of the plate-shaped body to the other surface opposite to this surface. A large number of dividing cuts are formed in a lattice shape as a whole, approximately parallel to the longitudinal direction of the one surface of the plate-shaped body, and substantially parallel to the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, and are arranged in the vicinity of the intersection of the lattice and the plate-shaped body. The distance between the cuts, which are arranged except near the edges and parallel to the longitudinal direction, is the length of the bottom of the cress shipping packaging box in the longitudinal direction and the length in the direction perpendicular thereto. The length of the foamed plastic is slightly shorter than the length of one of the two lengths, and the distance between the cuts arranged substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction is slightly shorter than the length of the other of the two lengths. The method for cultivating cress according to claim 1, characterized in that: 3. The medium is a foamed plastic plate-like body surrounded by the dividing cuts, and further has dividing cuts that are not connected to the dividing cuts at intervals shorter than the above-mentioned intervals. The method for cultivating cress according to claim 2, characterized in that: . 4. The method for cultivating cress according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the foamed plastic is flexible polyurethane foam. 5. Add an appropriate amount of water to the container containing the cress seeds,
The above-mentioned medium is stirred so that the seeds are uniformly dispersed and suspended in the slime that has become sticky due to the components leached into the water from the seed surface, and the medium is impregnated with a nutrient solution necessary for the growth of cress. According to any one of claims 1 to 4, the seeds are sown on the medium by applying the suspension to the surface of the medium so that the seeds are uniformly dispersed and adhered. How to cultivate cress as described. 6. After germination in the medium, the medium holding the germinated cress is divided along the cuts and placed in a shipping packaging box with an open top and allowed to grow. The method for cultivating cress according to any one of claims 2 to 5. 7. Any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the cress germinated on the medium is grown in a cultivation room using a fluorescent light as a light source until the cotyledons open, green, and reach an appropriate stem length. The method for cultivating cress according to item 1.
