Claims (1)

グ素子がフルブリツジ型に構成され低周波を出力
する極性切替回路と、この極性切替回路の出力に
接続された放電ランプと、該第1のスイツチング
素子に流れる電流を検出する第1の電流検出器と
、この第1の電流検出器の信号に基づき該第1の
スイツチング素子を高周波でオン−オン制御する
チヨツパー駆動制御回路と、該放電ランプに流れ
る電流を検出する第2の電流検出器と過大電流検
出回路を有する交流放電ランプ点灯装置において
、 前記過大電流検出回路より、前記放電ランプの
点灯初期における過大電流を検出するとともにこ
の信号に基づき、前記チヨツパー駆動制御回路に
よつて前記第1のスイツチング素子をオフして、
点灯初期におけるランプ電流を制限する手段を具
備したことを特徴とする交流放電ランプ点灯装置
