Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the positional deviation of an original itself by providing a rubber plate which is attached to an original cover to fix a substance to be printed under the original cover and an original position indicating line which is provided on the rubber plate to position the substance to be printed on the rubber plate. CONSTITUTION:In the case of performing copying by the use of a copying machine main body 1, a user opens the original cover 2 first. Since a rubber surface 3 being the back of the cover 2 has much fine ruggedness, the user puts the original along the original position indicating line 6 and presses it so that air between the rubber surface and the original may be pushed out. The user easily performs an operation because the original cover 2 is allowed to be opened at >=90 deg.. When the air is completely removed, the original is pressed by air pressure, so that the original is attracted to the rubber surface 3. Then, the user shuts the original cover 2 and performs the copying. After completing the copying, the user opens the original cover 2 and peels the original off. Thus, the positional deviation of the original itself is prevented and the number of papers which are wasted because of the deviation of printing is reduced.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a dry type electrophotographic copying machine, and particularly to a copying machine having a document holder having a rubber surface on the back side of which can attract and fix a copy document. [Conventional technology]

In conventional dry type electrophotographic copying machines, when setting an original to be copied, place the original on the glass surface at the top of the main body, lower the original holder onto it, and place the original between the glass surface and the original holder. [Problem to be solved by the invention]

In the conventional dry type electrophotographic copier mentioned above, it is not possible to hold the original in place from the time the document is placed on the glass until the document holder is completely lowered. Air movement often caused the document to shift from its correct position.

The dry type electrophotographic copying machine of the present invention includes a transparent plate that allows light to pass through when exposing the printing material, and a cover that is placed over the transparent plate to prevent light leakage and at the same time press the printing material from above.
