Normally, in an automobile engine, a radiator and a cooling fan are installed in the front part of the engine room, and the cooling water that becomes hot in the engine is cooled by the radiator, and then returned to the engine to cool the engine. It is being done. However, although the engine is cooled by cooling water, the engine itself is hot, and the heat from the engine causes the temperature in the engine room to rise.
As a result of this, for example, the float chamber of the carburetor in a carburetor engine, or the delivery pipe of the fuel injection valve in a fuel injection engine, becomes hot and the fuel evaporates, causing percolation in the fuel system. There is also the problem that auxiliary equipment in the engine room is subject to heat damage.

ようにしたものがある。 Therefore, in conventional automobile engines, as shown in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 59-103822, for example, a baffle plate is provided on the rear side of the radiator, and the inside of the engine room is cooled by the air passing through the radiator. There is something like this.

However, in the device described in the above-mentioned conventional publication, the air passing through the radiator has a relatively high temperature and is hot air, so it is not possible to sufficiently suppress the temperature rise in the engine room, and the fuel system is still affected. The problem of heat damage to collations and auxiliary equipment remains.

It is conceivable that this method could be used to cool the inside of the engine compartment, but this method requires placing a large radiator or cooling fan in the engine compartment, which has a small layout space, which is undesirable in terms of bonnet space. The use of radiators and cooling fans raises the problem of increased costs.

In this design, when the cooling fan rotates, outside air flows into the engine compartment through a bypass cooling air passage provided at the top of the radiator, thereby heating the upper space of the engine compartment by the radiator. This means that the air that is not being used is circulated, and the temperature rise in the engine room is suppressed.
