【考案の詳細な説明】
〔産業上の利用分野〕
本考案は、蛍光表示管に関し、特にスペーサガ

従来、箱形の蛍光表示管に於いては、第6図に
示す様に、短冊状に切断されたガラス個片12,
12′,14及び14′の4片を準備しそのうち1
2,12′の端部にデイスペンサー等を用いフリ
ツトガラス13を塗布し、ガラフ個片14,1
4′と組合せ接合した第7図のようなスペーサガ
ラスが用いられてきた。

しかしながら、最近の商品化傾向により、表示
が大形化するに伴ないパネルも大形化になり、電
子を放射するフイラメントも長いものが用いられ
てきた。長いフイラメントを用いた蛍光表示管で
は、フイラメントの振動防止に第8図に示すよう
な中吊り9を用いているが中吊り9を固定するた
めの支持体9,10が必要となり、この中吊り固
定用の支持体9,10のため、余分な内部スペー
スが必要となり必然的に蛍光表示管の外形寸法が
大きくなるという欠点があつた。外形寸法は蛍光
表示管の使用セツトの関係で制限される場合があ
り止むを得えずスペーサガラス構成部品である1
2,12′の肉厚を薄くしスペーサガラスの内寸
を広げて対応をとらざるを得ない場合もあり強度
的な信頼性をその分犠性にせざるを得ないという

本考案の蛍光表示管は、第1図に示す様にフイ

第1図は本考案の一実施例であつて短辺寸法40
mm、長辺寸法250mmの蛍光表示管を示す。陽極基
板1上には所定のパターンで蛍光体2が塗布され
ていて、蛍光体2の上には、フイラメント4から
放射された電子を制御するグリツド3が設けてあ
る。フイラメント4は、中吊り8によつて振動防
止され、中吊り8は支持体9,10によつて固定
してある。スペーサガラス7は、支持体9,10
に相当する位置に凹部11を設け、支持体9,1
0が接触しないように設計されている。スペーサ
ガラス7は第2図に示すカーボン型を用いて作
る。カーボン型はスペーサガラス7の寸法に合わ
せてガラス片15を入れる溝12とスペーサガラ
ス7の凹部11に相当する凸13,13′と上型
のガイドピン14,14′を設けた下型と、ガラ
ス片15を押圧する上型16より構成されてい
る。第3図の様にガラス片15をセツトし(4片
のガラス片をセツトするがその図示は省略)1000
℃に加熱しガラス片を溶融し第4図に示す様に上
型16で押圧して、凹部11を設けたスペーサガ

ある。
