Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明はテスト印字機能を有するプリンタに関する， 〔従来の技術〕 従来ドット式プリンタのＪＩＳ第２水準のキャラクタジ
ェネレー夕はＲＡＭカートリッジの形で付加ユニットと
してプリンタ内部に実装し、また受信バッファ拡張付加
ユニットはＲＡＭＩＣをプリンタ内のパッケージに実装
することによって実現していった。これらの付加ユニッ
トの有無はＲＯＭカートリッジやＲＡＭＩ　Ｃを実装す
るプリンタ板に表示されていた。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
プリンタ装置は不特定多数の人が使用する場合が多く使
用する前に付加ユニットの有無を調べる必要があった．
付加ユニットの有無を調べるには装置のカバーを外し、
ＲＯＭカートリッジやプリンタ板等を取出すか実際にプ
リンタを上位装置に接続して動作させる必要があった． 〔課題を解決するための手段〕 本発明においては、テスト印字機能を拡張して付加ユニ
ットの有無を印字させている。
〔実施例〕
次に図面を参照して説明する， 第１図は本発明を含むプリンタの外観を示し前面にはオ
ペレータが操作する操作盤がある。第２図は操作盤の拡
大図である本実施例においてはＦＯＲＭ　　ＬＥＮＧＴ
Ｈすなわち用紙長スイッチをＯＯ行に設定してテスト印
字を行なうと、第３図に示す様なテスト印字をする．テ
スト印字の後半は、接続されている付加ユニットを示す
．尚、上記ＦＯＲＭ　　ＬＥＮＧＴＨを００行以外にす
れば通常のテスト印字を行なう． 〔発明の効果〕 以上説明したように、テスト印字に付加ユニットの有無
を加えることにより、簡単に付加ユニットの有無を調べ
られる． また上記付加ユニットの有無が不要な場合はオペレータ
の操作によりそれらを印字させないことが出来る．
【図面の簡単な説明】
第１図は本発明の一実施例の斜視図、第２図は本実施例
の操作盤を示す図、第３図は本実施例によるテスト印字
の結果を示す図である。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. テスト印字機能を有するプリンタにおいて、付加ユニッ
    トの接続の有無をテスト印字機能の中で印字することを
    特徴とするプリンタ。
