Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition useful for cleaning stains on a surface of a floor made of stone such as terrazzo by using a nonionic surface active agent, a cationic surface active agent comprising a mono(long-chain alkyl) quaternary ammonium salt, and a hydroxyalkylcellulose as constituents each in a specified amount. CONSTITUTION:The title composition contains 2-10wt.% nonionic surface active agent (e.g. polyoxyethylene lauryl ether), 0.1-5wt.% cationic surface active agent comprising a mono(long-chain alkyl) quaternary ammonium salt (e.g. an alkylbenzyldimethylammonium chloride), and 0.1-2wt.% hydroxyalkylcellulose.

Description

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a liquid cleaning composition for floors, and more specifically, a liquid suitable for cleaning stains on stone-shaped floor surfaces such as terrazzo and marble. The present invention relates to a cleaning composition.

[Conventional technology and its problems]

For cleaning floor surfaces, neutral liquid cleaning agents containing anionic and nonionic surfactants, or cleaning agents containing solvents are widely used.

These cleaning agents are suitable for removing stains from floors such as wood and vinyl tiles. However, cleaning performance for stains on stone-shaped floor surfaces such as terrazzo and marble, which have become popular in recent years, is still insufficient.

[Means to solve the problem]

As a result of intensive research by the present inventors to solve the above problems,
It was discovered that a detergent containing hydroxyalkylcellulose in a nonionic or cationic surfactant system has an excellent effect on removing dirt from the surface of stone molds, and also gives a favorable finish to the surface after cleaning and is less sticky. The present invention has now been completed.

That is, the present invention includes (a) nonionic surfactant 2 to 10% by weight
(b) 0.1 to 5% by weight of a mono-long chain alkyl type quaternary ammonium salt cationic surfactant; and (c) 0.1 to 2% by weight of hydroxyalkyl cellulose. A liquid cleaning composition is provided.

Particularly useful as the nonionic surfactant (a) used in the present invention are polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, polyoxyethylene alkyl phenyl ether, and the like. The nonionic surfactant preferably has an HLB of 9 or more, preferably in the range of 11 to 13, from the viewpoint of cleaning performance. The nonionic surfactant is blended in the composition in an amount of 2 to 10% by weight.

In the present invention, as the mono-long chain alkyl type quaternary ammonium salt of component (b), those having the following structure are preferably used.

Quaternary ammonium salts (representing anions such as bromine) have the effect of improving the cleaning effect and reducing stickiness. The quaternary ammonium salt is blended in the &l bottom in an amount of 0.1 to 5% by weight, preferably 0.3 to 2% by weight.

The hydroxyalkylcellulose used as component (c) in the present invention includes hydroxymethylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose, and the like. Hydroxyalkyl cellulose has a 1% concentration aqueous solution at 25°C.
Those having a viscosity of ~5000 centipoise and a degree of alkyl substitution (DS) in the range of 0.8 to 1.5 are preferably used. These hydroxyalkylcelluloses have the effect of improving the cleaning performance and giving gloss to the stone-shaped floor surface. Such hydroxyalkylcellulose is blended in the composition in an amount of 0.1 to 2% by weight.

The liquid floor cleaning composition of the present invention may contain chelating agents such as ethylenediaminetetraacetate, hydrotropes such as lower alcohols, alkaline agents such as alkanolamines, fragrances, pigments, etc., as necessary. .

The present invention will be explained below with reference to Examples, but the present invention is not limited to these Examples.

Liquid floor cleaner compositions having the compositions shown in Table 1 (all pHs were 7.1) were prepared, and their cleaning power and practicality were evaluated by the following methods.

Cleaning power evaluation method: A trace amount of oil-soluble pigment Sudan ■ is added to rapeseed oil.
30 x 30 (11) was thinly applied with a brush to a terrazzo piece. 10 ai! of a 0.3% aqueous solution of a liquid floor cleaning agent & 11 precepts having the composition shown in Table 1 was dropped onto this terrazzo piece. Rub the surface with a cloth and judge the cleaning power with the naked eye.

The judgment criteria at this time are as follows.

The participants evaluated the ease of cleaning, the gloss of the terrazzo surface after cleaning, and the sticky feeling when stepping on the terrazzo surface with bare feet after cleaning.

These evaluation results are shown in Table 2.
