Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of an outside case caused by rain and the ingress of raindrop by exposing the parts of a photographing lens part and a winding knob part, etc., and covering a camera body with the outside case consisting of a waterproof sheet and sealing between a peripheral edge of the aperture part of the outside case and the body. CONSTITUTION:The body 1 is covered with the outside case 9 consisting of the waterproof sheet material. Aperture parts 10a-10e are provided on the outside case 9, and the photographing lens part 4, the winding knob part 5, a counter part 6, and the window 7a on an ocular side and the window 7b on an objective side of a finder 7 are exposed. The peripheral edges of the aperture parts 10a-10e of the outside case 9 and the body 1 are wax-sealed with adhesive, etc. Even when it rains midway in the case of photographing outside, the outside case is protected from the raindrop, etc., and the ingress of the water and dust between the peripheral edge of the aperture part of the outside case and the body is prevented.

Generally, this type of film-integrated camera is constructed so that when all the frames of the preloaded film have been photographed and developed, the camera itself is broken and the film inside is taken out, and the camera body only holds one film. It is designed to be disposable after each use. For this reason, this film-integrated camera is designed to be as simple and inexpensive as possible while maintaining its photographic function, and is mainly used for outdoor photography.

However, the outer case of this type of camera is usually made of paper;
If it gets wet with rain or sweat, it will easily tear, and if raindrops get inside the outer case, there is a risk that they will get into the body through the butt grooves or engagement holes between the parts on the surface that are hidden by the case. Ta.

However, the waterproof disposable camera mentioned above had its body surface covered with transparent resin, which was further covered with an outer cover.
The number of manufacturing steps increased, which caused an increase in costs. In other words, this went against the original mission of disposable cameras, which was to reduce costs.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention covers the camera body with an outer case made of a waterproof sheet material having an opening that exposes the photographing lens section, winding knob section, counter section, and finder section. By sealing the area between the periphery of the opening of the case and the contact area with the body, it prevents the outer case from being easily torn even if it gets wet with rain during outdoor use, and prevents raindrops from entering the inside of the outer case. It is configured as follows.

Reference numeral 9 denotes an outer case made of a waterproof sheet material covering the body 1, and the outer case 9 is as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
Openings 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d, and 10e are provided for exposing the photographing lens section 4, the winding knob section 5, the counter section 6, and the eyepiece side window 7a and object side window 7b of the finder 7. Note that the release button 8 is hidden by the outer case 9, and only its installation position is indicated by a mark 8a (see FIG. 2).

The waterproof sheet material constituting the outer case 9 may be a porous (closed cell) resin sheet alone, but if a composite material made of a paper material 11 with a resin layer 12 formed on the surface as shown in FIG. 3 is used, the cost will be reduced. It's relatively cheap and good. The resin layer 12 formed on the surface of the paper material 11 can be made of any material as long as it has flexibility and waterproof performance, but ■ Microtex: tetrafluoroethylene resin, ■ Preslon: polyethylene porous. It is more preferable that the back side of the zero paper material 11, which can be used satisfactorily using a quality membrane, is treated with a resin (impregnation, coating, veneer, etc.).

Reference numeral 13 denotes a sealing portion between the periphery of the opening 10 of the outer case 9 and the body l, and the sealing portion 13 may be bonded via an adhesive layer 14 as shown in FIG. 4(a). It is also possible to use ultrasonic welding 15 as shown in FIG. In this latter case, the condition is that the back surface of the paper material 11 is treated with resin.

Unlike the release button 8, which is simply pressed, the release knob 5 involves rotational operation, so the outer case 9
Moreover, the counter part 6 is exposed so that the sheet number display surface can be seen through. Of course, in special cases where a transparent material is used as the material for the outer case, there is no need to expose it.

Therefore, although the winding knob portion 5 and the counter portion 6 (excluding special cases) have poor drip-proofing properties, the other portions have high drip-proofing properties. In particular, it is possible to reliably prevent raindrops from entering between the opening periphery of the outer case 9 and the body. In other words, if raindrops or the like are allowed to enter the inside of the outer case 9, the raindrops will enter the body through the butt grooves a and retaining holes between parts on the body surface that are hidden by the outer case 9. There is a risk, but as mentioned above, such a risk has been eliminated by sealing it off.

Although the body 1 is not equipped with a strobe in the above embodiment, it may be equipped with a strobe. In that case, the strobe light emitting part would be exposed through the opening.

As described above, the present invention covers a camera body with an outer case made of a waterproof sheet material having an opening that exposes a photographic lens section, a winding knob section, a counter section, and a viewfinder section, and the opening of the outer case. Since the area between the periphery of the camera and the body is sealed, the outer case can be protected from water such as raindrops even if it rains during outdoor photography. Moreover, it has various excellent effects, such as preventing water and dust from entering between the periphery of the opening of the outer case and the body.
