Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the transfer paper having excellent water resistance, heat resistance and dimensional stability by incorporating porous crosslinked polyester particles into the transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:The transfer paper contg. the porous crosslinked polyester particles is used. Such transfer paper is easily obtd. by adding the porous crosslinked polyester particles together with a sizing agent and filters of an inorg. system to the transfer paper in the process for producing the transfer paper. The porous crosslinked polyester particles have the properties of the extremely high water resistance and heat resistance. The transfer paper incorporated with the porous crosslinked polyester particles has the excellent water resistance and heat resistance. The transfer defect at the time of transfer and the deformation by heat and pressure at the time of fixing are prevented in this way.

(Prior Art) In image forming apparatuses that use electrophotography or electrostatic printing, an electrostatic latent image formed on an image carrier is generally developed using a dry developer (toner), and the image is transferred in the transfer process. , Transfer paper is stacked on an image carrier, the transfer paper is charged with a corona discharger, the developed toner image is transferred to the transfer paper, and the toner on the transfer paper is then fixed by heat or pressure. A copy is obtained.

In the conventional transfer process, transfer paper that has absorbed water causes transfer defects, resulting in problems such as image unevenness and poor density. For this reason, the above-mentioned problems have been prevented by coating paper with a thin layer of resin. On the other hand, in the conventional fixing process, the transfer paper is dehumidified by heating, which causes curling and wrinkles.

Therefore, in order to solve the above problem, by forming the fixing rollers so that one side has a crown shape and the other side has an inverted crown shape, the transfer paper is transported when the transfer paper passes between the fixing rollers. Both ends of the leading edge are pulled to prevent curls, wrinkles, etc.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, resin coating on paper significantly impairs writability and loses the characteristics of PPC. Furthermore, when the transfer paper is pulled as described above, the paper itself is deformed by the heat and pressure of the fixing roller, and as a result, there is a drawback that an image faithful to the original cannot be reproduced.

The porous polyester particles have extremely high water resistance and heat resistance. Therefore, the transfer paper containing the porous polyester particles has excellent water resistance and heat resistance, and can prevent transfer defects during transfer and deformation due to heat and pressure during fixing, and faithfully reproduce the original. becomes possible. In addition, by using the vesicles in the porous polyester particles that further contain a fragrance, we can also produce L-sized medium-sized 7 paper sheets that have a natural scent that eliminates the odor of the toner after fixing. Can be provided.

The amount of the porous polyester powder added is generally 0.1 to 20%, particularly preferably 5 to 15%, based on the weight of the base paper. When the amount added is less than the above range, the effects of the present invention cannot be obtained and poor transfer, curling, wrinkles, etc. occur. Furthermore, if the amount added is greater than the above range, the rigidity of the paper will be too large, leading to poor conveyance and poor fixing.
