Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for operation, the control for thread-drawing, etc., by a method wherein both an operating device for needle thread supply every the specified number of stitches, and a setting device for needle thread-supplying device whereby, after it is discriminated that the specified number of stitches are sewed, a new needle thread supply data from the operating device is stored in a storing device. CONSTITUTION:Output information from a basic pattern-storing device 1, a sewing pitch- specifying device 2, a needle amplitude-setting device 3, a main shaft-detecting device 4 for a sewing machine, etc., is read out, and operated by an operation device 5. A needle thread- supplying data for the first stitch obtained in this way, is stored in a memory 7 and it is used for a needle thread supply. A pattern data after the N stitches is accessed from the storing device 1, and the output information from the sewing pitch-specifying device 2 and the needle amplitude-setting device 3 is read out and a new needle thread supply is operated by the operation device 5. The data from the main shaft-detecting device 4 is counted by a counter 9 for the number of stitches (it is defined as (n)), and whether it is repeated by the number of times N specified by a setting device 8 for repeat times or not, is discriminated. When the (n) becomes equal to the N, a new needle thread supply data is stored in the memory 7 and it is used for a new needle thread supply. Hereafter, the same operation is repeated.

As shown in FIG. 5, a conventionally known zigzag sewing machine includes a storage means 1 for outputting basic pattern data of one sewing pattern selected from a plurality of sewing patterns, and a storage means 1 for outputting basic pattern data of one sewing pattern selected from among a plurality of sewing patterns, and a storage means 1 for outputting basic pattern data of one sewing pattern by a known cloth feeding mechanism. Pitch specification means 2 for each stitch
and a needle amplitude setting means 3 for specifying the internal large needle amplitude K of the sewing pattern, and further reads heavy weight data as appropriate (not shown) by selection, reads information from the main shaft detection means 4 of the sewing machine, etc., and calculates this information to the calculation means 5. In addition to this for each stitch, the corresponding needle thread supply amount is calculated for each stitch, and based on this calculation result, the thread payout device 6 is controlled each time a stitch is formed on the sewing machine to optimize the thread supply amount. . Furthermore, the calculation means 5
includes ROM and RAM for system control.

Lockstitch sewing machines do not have needle oscillation, so once the stitching pitch is set, the needle thread supply amount is the same length repeatedly except when reverse stitching, so there is no need to calculate the needle thread supply amount for each stitch. In the case of a sewing machine, as shown in FIG. 6, the needle swing width T is determined by the calculating means 5 from the standard needle swing width T' calculated from the pattern data and the width K set in the needle amplitude setting means, and then The stitch length for each needle is calculated by adding the obtained needle swing width T and pitch P to the calculating means 5, and calculating from this as x, , = v'F''21〒7, It is necessary to calculate the needle thread supply amount based on this needle swing width T and pitch P.
Normally, the number of stitches differs from stitch to stitch, as shown in FIG. 7, depending on the various patterns.

However, in the conventional zigzag sewing machine as mentioned above, 1
The calculation means 5 reads information such as the feed pitch and needle amplitude for each needle, and based on this data, calculates the needle thread supply amount for each stitch as shown in FIG. This method not only takes time to control thread payout, etc., and limits the upper limit rotational speed of the main shaft of the sewing machine during high-speed operation, but also has the disadvantage that the control device becomes faster, more complicated, and more expensive.

本発明は上記の欠点を除くようにしたものである。The present invention seeks to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks.

The needle thread supply device in the zigzag sewing machine of the present invention includes means for calculating the needle thread supply amount for each predetermined number of stitches from information such as the basic pattern, sewing pitch, needle swing width, and the needle thread supply amount calculated by the calculation means. a determining means for determining whether or not the sewing machine has sewn a predetermined number of stitches; and a determining means for determining whether or not the sewing machine has sewn a predetermined number of stitches; and after the determining means determines that a predetermined number of stitches have been sewn, a new upper thread supply amount is stored in the storage means from the calculating means. It is characterized by comprising means for storing, and means for setting the value stored in the storage means as the upper thread supply amount in the upper thread supply means.

Since the sewing pattern in the zigzag sewing machine of the present invention has a relatively gradual change in stitch length from stitch to stitch, the needle thread supply device uses the stitch length set for the first stitch over several consecutive stitches. The thread supply amount is used as is, and a new upper thread supply amount is calculated every few stitches, and this new upper thread supply amount is used thereafter.

In the present invention, as shown in FIG. 2, the conventional device is further provided with a memory 7 for storing the upper thread supply amount calculated by the calculating means 5, and a repeater for setting the number of repetitions N for repeatedly using the same upper thread supply amount. It is composed of a number of times setting means 8. As shown in the flowchart of FIG. 3, the output information of the basic pattern storage means 1, the sewing pitch designation means 2, the needle amplitude setting means 3, the sewing machine main shaft detection means 4, etc. is read out and added to the calculation means 5 and calculated. The needle thread supply amount for the first stitch is stored in the memory 7, the needle thread supply amount stored in the memory 7 is used as the needle thread supply amount of the needle thread supply device, and the pattern data after N stitches is called from the storage means 1. ,
The output information of the sewing pitch designating means 2 and the needle amplitude setting means 3 is read out and added to the calculating means 5 to calculate a new upper thread supply amount. The data from the spindle detection means 4 is counted by the stitch number counter 9, and the coincidence determination means 10 determines whether or not this counted number n has been repeated the number of times N determined by the repetition number setting means 8, and n=N. At this time, the new upper thread supply amount calculated by the calculating means 5 is stored in the memory 7 as a new storage content, and the upper thread supply amount stored in the memory 7 is used as the upper thread supply amount of the upper thread supplying device.
Repeat the same operation below.
