Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable dyeing without lowering strength and elongation of a specific PTFE(polytetrafluoroethylene) porous sheet by treating the specific PTFE porous sheet with a blend solution of oil dye, etc., nonionic fluorinated alkylester and alkyd resin. CONSTITUTION:PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) porous sheet having relatively large foam (e.g. <=30mu size) and obtained by molding powder method is subjected to dyeing treatment with a solution prepared by blending an oil dye or disperse dye with nonionic fluorinated alkylesters and alkyd resin to provide a dyed sheet without lowering strength and elongation of the sheet.

The porous sheet obtained by molding powder method has a bubble (pore) size of 300μ or less and a porosity of 5.
~60%, no wrinkles occur even when folded, and it has the feel of an elastic body. When this sheet is dyed (colored), its strength and elongation decrease by 10% or more, and when it is colored with a vivid coloring agent (organic pigment), the PTFE is fired (300-400℃).
There is a problem with the color fading.
