[Operation] With such a configuration, the insertion rod can be inserted into the cavity of the first member while a gap is formed between the first inwardly tapered surface and the first outwardly tapered surface. Therefore, there is no difficulty in assembling members with high fitting precision, and the first member and the second member can be easily assembled in the posture in which they should be joined. In this state, when the bolt is passed through one joint wall and screwed into the threaded hole of the insertion rod, and the bolt is tightened, the insertion rod is pulled toward the one joint wall, and the second outward taper tapers. The surface becomes wedge-shaped between the second inwardly tapered surfaces. That is, in this case, while deforming both walls outward, the second outwardly tapered surface bites into the space between the second inwardly tapered surfaces, and the insertion rod moves in the direction of one joint wall while increasing the surface pressure. will be moved to. As a result, the first outwardly tapered surface abuts the first inwardly tapered surface,
The two tapered surfaces are also in close contact. Therefore, the first member and the second member are connected via the two tapered fitting portions, and are strongly connected with no play. In this connected state, the elastic repulsive force of the members acts to strengthen the surface pressure between the tapered surfaces and to increase the friction between the bolt and the screw hole, so that the bolt is less likely to loosen.

With this kind of configuration, as shown in Figure 2,
First inwardly tapered surface 14 and first outwardly tapered surface 2
Since the insertion rod 22 can be inserted into the cavity S of the support column 1 while a gap is formed between the insertion rod 22 and the support rod 3, there is no difficulty in assembling members with high fitting precision, and the insertion rod 22 can be easily inserted. The support column 1 and the relay member 2 can be combined in a posture in which they should be combined. In this state, when the bolt 3 is passed through one of the connecting walls 12 and screwed into the screw hole 25 of the insertion rod 22, and the bolt 3 is tightened, the insertion rod 22 is pulled in the direction of one of the connecting walls 12. , the second outwardly tapered surface 24 wedges between the second inwardly tapered surfaces 15. That is, in this case, both side walls 11
while deforming the second outwardly tapered surface 24 outwardly.
As a result, the insertion rod 22 moves in the direction of one of the connecting walls 12 while increasing the surface pressure. As a result, as shown in FIG. 3, the first outwardly tapered surface 23 comes into contact with the first inwardly tapered surface 14, and the two tapered surfaces 14, 23 are also in close contact. Therefore, the support column 1 and the relay member 2 are connected through the two tapered fitting portions, and are strongly connected with no play. therefore,
It becomes possible to firmly connect both the upper and lower supports 1 via the relay member 2 without rattling.

[Effects of the Invention] Since the present invention has the above-described configuration, the insertion rod of the second member is inserted into the cavity of the first member with sufficient dimension, and then the bolt is tightened. By applying the operation, it is possible to bring the first inward tapered surface and the first outward taper into close contact while strongly pressing the second inwardly tapered surface against the second outwardly tapered surface. The insertion rod can be reliably fixed within the cavity by the engagement structure. Therefore, the first member can be firmly joined to the second member without rattling by a simple operation, and the joined state can be maintained for a long period of time.

Furthermore, if both side walls are flattened so that the center part bulges outward, the side walls can be smoothly deformed when the second outwardly tapered surface is inserted between the second inwardly tapered surfaces. Moreover, the deformation will not be noticeable from the outside. In other words, if the side wall is flat or has a concave center, the bulge will easily affect the appearance when the side wall is deformed outward.
If the side plate is originally bulged, even if the side plate is slightly deformed in the direction of the bulge, the appearance will hardly be affected and the deformation will be natural.

Furthermore, if the edges of both side walls extend outward beyond one of the joining walls and a cover is installed between the extending edges of the side walls, bolts can be prevented from being exposed to the outside. be able to. Note that if the side plates are curved as described above, their edges will approach each other on the tip side, so it is possible to engage and hold the cover in a removable manner without providing any special undercuts. This allows the structure of the cover holding part to be simplified.
