によって検出され、VTRはテープの走行を止める。

力光10aは第3図のように発散し、その光の一部がテ
ープの前記透明なリーダ部に達した時フォトトランジス
タ11によって検出される。

ンジスタ11の検出出力が反射光10bと、テープがリ
ーダ部に達した時の発光ダイオード11の出力10aと
ではレベルが異なる事から、前記フォトトランジスタ1
1の検出感度を下げる事で反射光1obに応答しない様
にして解決し得るが、フォ))ランジヌタ11の検出範
囲が小さくなり、発光ダイオード1oや、フォトトラン
ジスタ11等の光素子の特性のばらつき及び磁気テープ
のリーダ部の光の透過度のばらつきに対する余裕がなく
なり、逆に誤動作が発生しやすくなる事が考えられ量産
を困難にする原因となる。

、フォトトランジスタの検出範囲を広げる事が可能とな
る。従って、発光ダイオードや、フォトトランジスタ等
の光素子の特性のばらつき及び磁気テープのリーダ部の
光の透過度のばらつきに対する余裕が大きくなり、誤動
作の発生を極めて少なくすることができる。
