The electrical connection terminal is inserted from the rear into the terminal accommodating chamber in the housing, and the forward movement of the terminal is stopped by a stopper provided near the front end of the terminal accommodating chamber, and the terminal is provided diagonally protruding forward from the side wall surface of the terminal accommodating chamber. Connectors are known in which terminal retraction is prevented by flexible terminal locking arms.

As a result, failures such as terminals falling off may occur after assembly into devices.

A technique has been disclosed in which a spacer f is inserted between spaces d to prevent the spacer from bending, thereby stopping the terminal from retreating.

Since it is formed by providing two slits 5 parallel to the axial direction of the storage chamber, both upper and lower surfaces are flush with the partition walls 1a, 1b, etc., and the cut end of the slit 5 is the fulcrum. Since there is no terminal accommodating chamber adjacent to the lowermost terminal accommodating chamber 2c, it is preferable to provide a space S' in this portion for the locking arm 3c to temporarily bend. The other (top) terminal housing chamber 2
The locking arm 3a of a is unnecessary because the adjacent storage chamber 2b also serves as a bending space. 6 is a stopper that stops the terminal from moving forward.

As shown in FIG. 4, when the terminal T is inserted from the rear of the uppermost terminal accommodating chamber 2a in the insulating housing H, its receiving portion T1 comes into contact with the rear taper 4a1 of the locking step portion 4a and is engaged. When the stop arm 3a is bent downward (to the side of the adjacent storage chamber 2b) and entered (state A), and further advanced and climbed over the stepped portion 4a,
The locking arm 3a elastically returns to the storage chamber 2a side, the locking step portion 4a engages with the rear end of the receiving portion T1 , and the front end of the receiving portion T1 is stopped from advancing by the stopper 6. Thus, the terminal T is locked in the housing chamber 2a.

By replacing the flexing space of the locking arm with the adjacent storage chamber, the flexing space S (see Fig. 5) dedicated to the locking arm, as in the past, is no longer necessary, so the insulating housing H can be reduced by that amount. In addition to being downsized, the locked terminals mutually prevent the locking arm from deflecting.
There is no need to use a spacer.

Separate parts such as conventional spacers are no longer required, reducing the number of parts and assembly man-hours, contributing to cost reduction, as well as preventing incomplete insertion of terminals, ensuring secure locking, and reducing the size of the connector.
